Uate wins Dally M winger of the year

...Unfortunatly Morris will more then likely win it

TBH i don't really see how. Morris has been quiet this year, Aku has scored some brilliant tries this year, most likely will be the leading try scorer, top linebreaks. Morris, Flash Gordon, Robertson, Vatuvei & Merritt are Uate's only real competition IMO, and they come no where near him.

Morris won't get it, he's been quiet since origin 1. Vatuvei will probably be his biggest threat for winger of the year

It was pretty funny they asked him a question he looked at Rick Stone then Andy Raymond answered the question for him.

Andy Raymond asks the gayest questions, most people would struggle to answer them.

He basically describes the entire game in his question for some reason, as if he is trying to let the coach know he is really clever and noticed what happened in the game.

Yeah I noticed that, also Uate didn't score any tries against the bulldogs, lets hope next round is his round to break Tahu's record.

Will be very tough though up in there at Auckland though up against big Manu Vatuvei. This will be fun to watch, Manu v Aku. :)

How does it show stupidity? What a stupid comment haha. Would we have been better playing with 12 players?

I'm no surgeon, but once an ankle is broken, it's broken ... it can't get any worse. And it showed plenty of guts and character. If you don't think those qualities are improtant, you must have loved watching the Knights play this year.

Also since you apparently rate players solely on try scoring ability, Hughes did average almost a try a game at Marathon.

It's absolutely disgraceful if he is, unless overseas players will be allowed to play origin.

Yet another example of Australia raping the minor league nations.
yep, Sam Burgess an addition to the BLues back row for next year also. LOL, and Gareth Ellis

imagine having 11. Burgess, 12. Ellis, 13. Gallen. Thats some powerful second row action there.

hahaha.

Uate will be leading try scorer no doubt, but i guess that doesnt make you winger of the year, there alot of other **** they will look at.

Yes he might be pretty good, but u wudnt have any real room to do it until origin (with mullen and henry in the halves and gids at fullback) and u'd want more of a playmaker backing up ur halves than uate. Don't think Uate wud have the attacking instinct of a fullback/five eigth (theyre pretty much the same position attacking in the red zone).

I think he should roam around the middle for tackles 1,2,3 and then move to the wing. on 4th,5th in attack. He doesnt need to be fullback, he should be given a free role at wing IMO.

Yep, exactly, he is doing that a bit now, seeing it more and more every week. Very Similar to what Merritt does at souths, and did during his prolific try-scoring seasons even though he was in a wooden spoon team.

Uate is certainly getting a lot more involved in the middle of the field during the set which is good. Still I wouldn't like to see him anywhere but on the wing, I think it suits him perfectly as his try scoring record shows.

Onto 21 and barring a hat trick from one of the other contenders in the next couple of weeks I can't see him being beaten for top try scorer.

A shoe in for Dally M Winger of the Year surely?
