Toohey's News

I would have needed caring about Rugby League if Wil Freaking Cannavo was announced on the development list next year. Atrocious having a fiend like Blake Cannavo forcing selections and contracts.

Really hope this is our golden age in the front office now with Chris James in charge, Gardiner out and Parr/Sully/Blair unhindered.

Making this a plolaxe and system players and coaches want to come and be apart of.

Holy **** I need to proof read my post. Also not post from just waking up. Christ almighty excuse the terrible spelling folks. I’m going to leave the mistakes in there as it’s too comical not too.
well just heard Jack Hillar has also left the club, both of these two players paled in grand finals & finals through the pathways

Also too, if they got whiter during a game of football, could I find out what sunscreen they were using? My Irish skin burns way too easy.

Knights have signed 26 year old prop Peter Hola for 2026. He is currently playing Qld cup but has played 15 NRL games for Cowboys and Canberra up till last year.

Jack Hetherington had interest from Manly and Warriors, but they both backed out when they found how much money he is on for the rest of this year.

POS has an eye on Trey Mooney because of rumours he is unhappy with his lack of game time in Canberra, but can't talk to him because he is still contracted next year. He is also looking at a number of other props.

Jack Hilliar was given permission to look elsewhere and was snapped up by the bulldogs.

Knights tried hard to sign TDS but he is still living at home with his parents and was never leaving Sydney. Toohey says Knights haven't ruled out going for Reed Mahony - which sounds like he asked them and they wouldn't deny it.

I guess the plan would be to try sign Trey in November for 2027 and hope they let him come early for 26.

I can't stand Mahoney

Thanks @Billy!

I’d prefer not to see Mahoney in Red and Blue. He wasn’t bad at Eels. Wait. Are we getting the gang back together? Arthur, Brown, Mahoney. When’s King Gutho available?

Wonder if we would be in for a reinvigorated, motivated, mental fresh Shaun Lane if we sold a bit of a better work/life lifestyle. If he is doing better and open to a return to footy.

Great to see we are trying our hand at the old “we would absolutely love to entertain the idea of signing Trey Mooney as he is a great footballer. We could even offer xxx over x years, but unfortunately he is a contracted player and we are unable to communicate with him. But if he were to knock on Ricky’s door and let him know how unhappy he is, maybe we could kickstart some negotiations.”
