Daniel Saifiti preparing to leave the Knights according to the Newcastle Herald
Bunnies are desperate for middles.
Wayne could probably resurrect his career.

But Wayne also doesn't like props on big money, so Knights would end up paying a chunk.

Swap for Stephano would be ideal.

O'Sullivan works fast - probably goes to whichever club misses out on Stefano. I can see a world where he ends up at Melbourne.

Hope this can be done amicably so that Jacob doesn't want to leave as well.
Yeah that would suck. I still can’t believe it turned out the way it did for the twins. High hopes on both, Daniel streaking ahead and Jacob with injury and discipline issues and now look. Appears there was a mindset exchange.

Do they honestly think anyone's interested in either, especially at the price? I know we'd kick in but for how much and when does that lose its value?

We may just see the best out of the twins ahead now. Basically playing for the security of their futures wether that be here or elsewhere.

I know if I was a young guy playing for Newcastle with a young family and they’ve said, “Matt, you aren’t living up to the $850k we signed you on. We pay you big coin and we expect big results” depending on where you are at mentally can go one of only two ways. You lift through the roof so that they either change their mind OR you lose little in moving to a new club or you go to crap and end up playing for some group team in the bush, never to be heard from again.

I hope they both lift and live happily ever after.

Yeah but how many guys dig their heels in when they publicly get tapped on the shoulder? Staying means being in a toxic environment where the club doesn't want you and more then likely ending up in NSW Cup.
The last 2 games have been his best for several years. Maybe just the reality Daniel needs. Daniel and the Knights have decisions to make between now and the end of the season.

I honestly think barely any players in the NRL would be happy playing NSW Cup for a big money contract, and D-Saf won’t be any different. Most are probably willing to take a pay cut to keep their career alive.

O'Sullivan is everything I've always wished this club would embody.

DSaf and Brailey were part of the furniture here until he arrived. And it was obvious to every fan that Brailey needed to be replaced, but some the previous brains trust view the club as a place of employment for the benefit of its employees rather than a professional sporting organisation that lives and dies by performance outcomes.

Guess I’m taking the opposite view, what happens if DSaf plays strong and hard, is responsible for several hard fought wins, we make the semis in top 4 position, we go on to further success, possible finalist, possible total success then what, see you later?

I cant see why not D Saf offered a slight reduced deal if he continues this great run of form. I doubt club would consider that though as already publicly said he is to look elsewhere.

Sullivan has obviously gotten to work very early.
I am more concerned that where tapping players on the shoulder and don’t have the quality to replace them with.

Who better than D Saf can we bring in that’s currently available?
I understand the go with Hethrington / Brailey

I just don’t want to rush players out the door and the club have to pay the price next year with a lack of quality next year.

Can't see that happening, but if it did just shows he's taking the **** the last couple of seasons
True but strange things happen, he likes it here, he has a young family, he probably feels settled, been a Knight a long time, one club player, all has nothing to do with his football but a lot to do with his family and life style.
Yes he could have put in more last few seasons but this might be the wake-up call he required, if not goodbye.
Sad if he goes, you become attached to players that play for many years through the thick and thin, sad but that’s life.
