Toohey's News

27/6

Gamble has signed for 2 more years. He has 2 more weeks on the sideline before return from injury.

Frizzel has taken up his option for 2025.

Fletcher Myers has an immediate release to Souths.

O'Brien says Will Pryce wasn't ready till now and has worked on the areas he needed to improve. Talks about his good attitude. Pryce's parents and brother are being flown over for the game by the club.

KP is telling people he is ahead of schedule to return, but the article doesn't say when.

The vacant top 30 spot will be filled with a player from within and will likely be a player we want to sign longer term - no mention of who they are looking at.

Toohey talks about McKewn, Hopwood and Votano - says 18 year old Hopwood was best on field in the first half of U19s SOO.

Glad for Gamble, both the resigning and the return date. We need him on the field.
I must say I thought he was the second cog to Hastings last year, but maybe I got that wrong.

He did have an average to poor first few rounds, but we know what he can bring with his attitude, energy, defence and long kicking. All of which we miss.

I guess Pryce gets 2 weeks to impress

I was thinking if those rumours of Brailey getting moved on are true …
Yeah I dont see Brails being here after 25. I think we'll persist with Crossy and R.Jones will be more than ready for a call up for bench rotation by then.

I've seem people say we need an elite level 9 like Mozer, depends where we focus our recruitment, top tier front rower/9/7?

I feel like Crossy and Jones will more than adequately get the gig done. IF we fill the other two spots well.
