If that was Brandon Russell in the 13 blue jersey in the opposed session, he looks like a slightly bigger version of Luke Yates now he has toned up in the off season. He looked really good at the end of 2018 - look forward to seeing how he goes this year.

Appears the knights have their PR machine working. Seems they have decided to not sack Moga and have got Toohey leading the storyline for them.

Dont know if that's a smart move or not, will see how Moga goes retuning from injury and if he can last the season without another knee blowout.
 
Latest Toohey's news, 2nd February 2019

- Knights killing it in memberships, 16,285 as of Feb 1st, 4000 more then this time last year. 20k doable? With corporates etc you'd think so.
- Ponga still tipped to be #1 goalkicker despite not being great last season, him/Knights are working on it though
- Saifiti back running with the team after his altercation
- Sale Finau who was looking to earn a one year deal with the club has been told to look elsewhere, club not impressed with his worth ethic
- Knights’ Community season launch next Saturday from 9 am to midday at McDonald Jones Stadium
- Moga wont be in the 17 come round 1, will be eased in by playing NSW Cup first (wont play trials)
- Gardner confident the commencement of the Centre Of Excellent within 6 weeks despite an election, still working on a few technical details they're hoping to have sorted.

February 9th

Trial form/injuries still a factor in the makeup of the round one sided but so far looking like
- Sione in the back row with Fitzgibbon
- Klemmer/Gavet starting props
- Glasby Lock
- The rest fights it out for bench spots though mann is first choice utility atm
- Brodie Jones expected to make his debut at some point too

Business is booming for wests, knights and NIB keen to extend their partnership

Amey has signed with the local Newcastle comp burn has his sights set on the qld cup

Massive Guerra fan, he does all the little dirty jobs I rate so highly and some can't be bothered with. Having said that, I think it might be a bit horses for courses from Brown this year with the forward pack given our depth. It might result in some blokes being outstanding one week and not selected the next. Injury will play a part as well. Brown can err on the side of caution more this year because of our depth.

Guerra relegated to the bench for Sione? Sione must really know how to train the house down then. Can do no wrong.

That was the biggest shock too. Considering he used to bail out Sione on the edge with his defence heh. Gavet being a starter was a shock too. But I like the idea of the Saifiti's at some point being on together off the bench taking hit ups at spent defenses one after the other.

Don't forget Ese'ese, who isn't in that run on team either. I think he will be huge this year. If he and DSaf use the last game against the dragons from last year as their benchmarks, they will both demand big minutes.
