Toohey's News

The general talk seems to be not many signings for 2020 so might be the best year to promote youth and development, 8-10 possible future stars, with training and development we might produce 3-4 first graders including a future star, go for it, the time is right.

Levi looks to be staying at least till training kicks off according to Toohey.
I'd say he'll have a good chance to stake a claim for a spot with the new coach.

Toohey also reported that Trent Robinson described O'Brien as a good communicator who will have all the players knowing their role, which I take as meaning that is what Robinson thinks we need. Robinson also said he talked up the town and the club to O'Brien and said again that he really enjoyed his time at the Knights.

Hopefully Obi may be able to get Levi to play a more team oriented game rather than the selfish plays that have marred his performances. Levi has a lot of ability, it’s a pity he has not done more with it for the team.

He seems such a divisive player on here. For mine he was the best hooker we had at the club since Brown arrived.

It's out of him and Griffin and if you want someone that just picks the ball up at the ruck and send it on it's way to first receiver Griffin is your man. Levi is more a cunning hooker, always looking to exploit sloppy markers or an opportunity, sometimes to the teams detriment overall, sometimes not.

Brailey is going to come in now anyway so can't see any other hooker getting a look in unless from bench and I'd have Levi there for a short 20 minute stint. Depends on whats happening with Watson also.

Rather Levi playing for us than part paying him to play elsewhere. Won’t hurt to have two fit and well hookers pushing for starting spot with Watson on bench 9 is a strong position for us.

Griffin at his peak chewed Levi up and shat him out. Reason he lept Frogged him for the NZ jumper.

Griffin's tackling was first rate, we missed him so bad towards the end of last year

Toohey also said the Knights believe Levi with sign with another club before the season starts which would be excellent news.

How much $ is Levi on? I always like watching him play he was great when we had that winning streak in the middle of the year.

I thought he was only on $350,000 not 100% sure, I'm a fan of Levi and think he is improving all the time.

I've always wondered if it was a bad attitude or more of a 'didnt fit in/wasn't friends with' type deal with Levi.

I think pearce has been good when not injured. I've been more concerned with pongas form towards the end of the year when asking 1 mil plus.

Ramien seemed to be unhappy not getting early ball at the start of the year, left side being favoured, etc... Two sides to every story?
