The Tinkler thread

Yeah there's having the assets, and then there's having liquidity. It can be a problem if you're not very liquid but I don't think anybody doubts Tinkler could scrounge the funds if he wanted

Anyhow I got the quaddie involving All Too Hard yesterday so if the big bloke's going bad I'll shout him a feed.

missing due dates on player payments starts to get me rather nervous!

they are definitely not the people you want to mess around.

Look who "broke the news" ....

Yet another attempt by Rothfield to tarnish the Knights/Tinkler. There's already several people who have come out and said none of this is true. Next.

I have come onto the scene late but can anyone tell what Rothfield has against the Knights or even the Newcastle Herald. I have been reading a lot of comment on this forum and a lot people do not think much off Rothfield and the Herald. Just wondering what has been reported by those two.

Rothfield loved it earlier this year when the Knights were struggling, he constantly wrote articles ripping into them. I have seen him say some positive things about the Knights before though.

Robert Dillon from the Newcastle Herald however always writes negative articles about the Knights, I've never seen him say anything about the Knights that was wasn't trying to rip into them. The HSG even banned the Herald reporters from interviewing Knights players because of the Herald's constant Knights bashing articles.

I just don't understand the big drama this story has caused. The players pay was deposited into their bank accounts in the afternoon instead of the morning and all of a sudden Tinkler is this big bad guy that isn't paying his players. What a joke Rothfield!!!! Write some real news.

Don't player salaries come from the NRL anyway? Honestly if players didn't get paid at least one on twitter would be blowing up!

The article even says that the Knights have denied it. Fair dinkum he is scraping at the barrel.

In other breaking news, my pay was a few hours late a few weeks ago - NSW gov must be broke.

I think that was one of the proposals to try and stop salary cap cheating like at the Storm. Dont think it has been implemented though.

In theory, players would only recieve money from the NRL, allowing them to better monitor player payments. If a player then recieved money from other sources they could then be held accountable.

Pity Cameron Smith wasnt held accountable as he manages himself, when the other player managers were suspended (albiet for too short a period).

And so Rothfield quotes in his stupid article

"But all pays for Jets, Knights, HSG employees have been processed and will clear today in the normal course of business."

And the fact the KGids came out on twitter just to clear the air...

So why the **** does he even bother wasting his time writing the bloody article...just getting at every oppportunity to have a go at the Knights.

Someone sack him already.
