Yeah I remember Bradman Best gave him a wrap and shout out when he made his origin debut.

Going back to those old articles at least you can say he fought the good fight longer then it seemed how much time he had left.

Just looking at his wikipedia, he was first diagnosed in 2012 when he was 26. Makes you think, hey. :(
 
As soon as I saw this thread pop up my stomach dropped.

My earliest memory of watching the Knights was his field goal against Manly back in 2008. I was yet to turn 12 years old. That game was what made me fall in love with rugby league and become the die hard supporter I am today.

Absolutely devastating, he put up such a strong and courageous fight.

RIP Scotty ❤️💙🕊️
 
Bloody great guy who after his own career, coached and mentored many of our juniors into young men now representing across the Rugby League world with, like Billy mentioned some still in our system such as Best, Crossland, Lucas, Cant, Sharpe, Crouch, Davis and Henderson (apologies if I left any out there).

I’m reading Sleapys Foundation are supporting the family so let’s get that word out to support this charity in memory of young Scott.

That photo is how Scotty always came across. He had a grin from ear to ear whenever he talked to anyone, and it always appeared genuine. First time I ever saw him was at a junior game at Toronto when his older brother was playing and he was laughing and joking in the stands and my first thought was what is so funny. Turns out it was him, and he had all his mates laughing too. Never seen a more popular player with his piers.
 
There was some talk Sleapy's Foundation or a GoFundMePage was or would be set up to assist his family. Not sure if there was a proper link for it yet but couldn't find it...
