Scotty Dureau

In the 39 year history of the Knights only 2 players have passed (the other was Tony Townsend in 2022).

You don’t expect a young and healthy player to die less than 20 years after he debuted for us.

I hope the Old Boys really do support his wife and girls as much as they can.

Adrian Bubb (1 game 1988) and Adrian Shelford (5 games 1988) have also passed.

Mad Dog had an estimated net worth of $650m in 2025 and has been more then well off for quite some time because of the Man Shake so that's probably the equivalent of one of us donating 10 bucks lol.

An update 2 days ago from Libby Dureau. Scotty did not give up fighting to be able to celebrate his 40th birthday.

I just wanted to take the time as I reflect tonight to give my heartfelt thank you to each and every one of you for the incredible outpouring of love and support for our little family. Since Scott’s passing we have celebrated our daughter’s 8th birthday, and today it was Scott’s heavenly 40th birthday. A milestone we spoke about in the hospice and boy did he fight so hard to try make it! It’s been an emotional day today but one we celebrated as we normally would, eating his favourite food and sharing many precious memories. Thank you for giving me and my family the time and space to grieve properly and focus on healing and being together. All our love, Libby, Imogen and Everly
