All Discussion on the game in this thread - Pre Match (First Try Scorer, Predictions) Live Scores & Post Match Thoughts.

Dureau's injury doesnt sound too promising.

Dureau or Rogers has to be right for this weekend or we'd see Gids in the halves.

So we will no by tonight or tomorow morning if the Cowboys will have Thurtson or Payne with both getting scans today. Also we will know if anything will happen to O'Donnell today aswell so hopefully all are out.

Looks like Dueau, Rogers and Taia will be 50/50 all the way untill kick off, I doubt weither Dureau will play the injury looked pretty bad, but i hope that Rogers and Taia will be back we really need both especially rogers other wise looks like Gidley will be halfback.

If Rogers and Taia play I am confident we can win, but if both are out then it will be a tough game with Gidley playing halfback

We have to win 13+ especially if they don't have Thurston also would be good to see us score more than 5 tries or atleast more than one try in the second half.

Cowboys defended pretty well the other night in adverse circumstances, but we need a win, a BIG WIN and even though they are down on troops we need to get some momentum going.

Hopefully one of them is right to play Gidley in the halves is no fun and McDonnell still playing First Grade is even less fun

We need to win this game. The Cowboys may come out fired up being down on some key players but we should still have the quality to run over the top of them if we play at our best.

Our forwards need to lay a solid platform to give our backs the chance to show what they are capable of.

Cory Paterson as a 5/8? He couldnt hold onto a ball the other night. Seems strange to me, your thoughts?

Well with dureau and rogers most probably out and stone unlikely to blood some young players for debut, providing mullen done all the kicks and 90% of playmaking he could be effective as an extra ball runner and could be used similar to mateo or bird. I dont no personally not my preferable choice, but i remember smith playing houston a front rower along side mullen at 5/8 in 2008. That seemed to work ok providing mullen ran the show.

If we lose this game Ill be very ****ed off! Over the loses we have had, need to get some confidence back. Also the cowboys struggle to win away so that will be good.

We've all seen Pato do some unreal things... but I was screaming at the TV for him to hold onto the frikkn ball on Saturday and quite a few other times in the past. If he wasnt dropping the ball, he was trying to offload with his arms tangled up in the attackers and turning it over. He passed it to that lil s*** head rabbitoh (who I cant think of) for christs sake and after doing so well to collect it in the first place!

Pato was playing desperate footy on the weekend for me like it was the final minute the whole game. He wont want to do the same this weekend. Just relax and he may have a scorcher.

Thurston out for 2-3 weeks so he deffinitly wont be playing against us and also O'Donnell is facing a 3 week suspesion so he also wont be facing us and I have not heard anthing on Payne yet but I would say he would be out becuase where I was sitting at Dairy Farmers on the weekend was right in front of wear payne went of and he could not even walk. He got up and walked 2 metres then jumped on 1 foot to the the sideline and he had to be carried all the way around into the dressing sheds

Heard on NBN

-Tuimavave, Hilder and Simpson didnt train today
-Taia, Cross and McDonnell on light duties
-Stone says that they have to train lightly if they are to be fit for Saturday
-Rogers most likely wont play
-Dureau says his hip is improving, rates himself a chance this weekend

That dosent sound too promising.

1. McDonnell, 6. Gidley > 1. Gidley 7. Half-fit Dureau

With the way Mullen is playing, there's no way he should be left with all the responsibility in the halves.

Hopefully its 1. Gidley 6. Mullen 7. Dureau 9. De Gois

No offence to McDonnell because I think he's done ok, but I really wanna see this combo kick off. Dureau sounds confident and would be itching to play knowing Rogers is breathing down his neck.

Simpson not training is most likely nothing new, Hilder has a slight shoulder injury. Not sure what's up with Tui. Crossy copped one in the head yet again so it's most likely something to do with that.

Taia returning from the broken rib.

I think they will all be right for this week to be honest.

Edit: Just found this:

The Knights have also been dealt a serious blow in their bid to revive their sluggish 2010 season against the Cowboys on Saturday night.

Six key players are battling injuries and in doubt. Captain Kurt Gidley (knee), Mat Hilder (shoulder), Daniel Tolar (shoulder), Evarn Tuimavave (ankle), Ben Rogers (elbow) and Scott Dureau (hip) are uncertain starters.

DT

Add Taia to that aswell.
