I always think you need to watch the replay before you see a lot of what went on and who played how but... For a start reserve grade were very unimpressive and Feeney (who I think is talented) wasn't very good today.... Sio was very unimpressive and Elliot although he did the job mostly he is not a dynamic player like you need in your spine , time to swap him and Ross I think . Imo we lost today due to inexperience something goes against us or doesn't work and we get flustered a bit and try too hard and stuff things up , we will get past that eventually and these games we will win . We are already a different team to last season with a bit more experience and more games under they're belt we will go alright and set up well for next season

Alas, due to an unexpected infestation of relatives this afternoon, I missed the game.......from what I've gathered the boys tried all game and there was a fair bit of agro in the game?...I'l try and see the replay later, but sounds an improvement on last season.

Was disappointing but at least it wasn't total capitulation as we have in the past. Frustrated me though that the sending off seems to have gone by the way side. Putting them on report ala AFL IS just a cop out. Tough titties if a team is reduced to 12 men.

Haven't seen the burgess incident, it happened down the other end. He certainly wouldn't make a good boxer thats for sure.

I read about an elbow, so would have to watch it.

Barnett could be our pest though :-)

an elbow to the face then a few thrown punches that missed. Should have been sent for the game imo! id say he is looking at 4-8 weeks on the side line though

2 of the worst attempts at a punch ive seen on a footy field... borderline special

Thanks 88.

Ok, that elbow is england dirty play all the way.

He should have been sent for that for sure. Nothing really behind it, wasn't a sickening blow, but if were putting players in the bin for soft punches, that should be off.

I'm sure the judiciary will get him.

And yeah, it really seems Mitch sledged him good to get that reaction.

We had our chances but in the end silly errors cost us and we lacked the polish.
I thought our right edge attack looked better when we were down a man with Buhrer playing 6 with only Gagai and Sio outside of him.
Lamb steps inside too much for my liking.

Burgess fights like Shane Webke, should be thankful the punch has been banned or he'd be in for a long career with his temper

....

I'm not even upset...

I loved the niggle today.. I know this is childish but seeing hodko lose his mind and burgess get binned - it's just different this year, you can feel it.. I'm more excited about next week than I ever was last year

Don't get to angry at Feeney he is still injured I thought he played or right in some parts

I think yesterday was the first time I haven't been disappointed after a loss. Obviously the win would have been good but if it were last year or even 2015 we'd have lost that game by 30+. The boys competed right until the full-time siren but once again the errors that we continue to make while momentum is in our favour and when we're in crucial field position always seem to come back to bite us. If we fix up those errors we'd probably be 3-0 and that's not me being biased. You have to be proud of the boys and the way they've started the season though. 2 losses by only 4 and 6 points. We're definitely a new team and on the up and the improvement they've made is genuinely impressive.

Collectively the boys played well as a unit and contained a big Souths pack quite well. Not really a bad player as such out there yesterday, Stocky though just needs a bit of super glue. Barnett was again sensational and that tackle at the end is what you want to see from your players every week. Buhrer showed good attack and tackled anything and everything and Levi probably had his best game from us, he knew when to run the ball and when he did he got us into quality field position.

Onto Penrith next week and if we fix those errors we are definitely in with a chance.
