That one on Mamo was weird, surely the tackle was complete and it should have been a scrum. Didn't really make any difference though.
 
We had to run out of steam with two of our best forwards injured and so many young guys asked to play long minutes.
I think we would have put up a good fight if Scott and Rochow had stayed out there.

Scott is our new MacDougall. The slightest injury in a club game and he is out of there, but he'll play with a leg amputated in a big game.
 
Its so funny to see so many people talking about how bad it was to have Sione in cup and now he needs to go back to cup. Everyone is the worst player each week and then the hero the following week. And/or vise versa.
 
I'm impressed we kept them to under 50, and scoring 22 was pretty good too.

As for Sione - development messed up by Tim Sheens. Like Mullen was by playing Origin too early. Stone would have been criticised if he started him in NSW Cup, but he clearly needs to continue learning his trade in the lower grades.
 
That was a really good game. Fantastic effort by the boys. Didn't give up. We didn't win? So what. Our young inexperienced players put worked really hard and showed they wanted to win. First time I've felt positive about our the future in a long, long time.
 
The simple mistakes knockons when the ball is being played silly penalties that hurts us ,not a good night for Sione did Scott get a scratch and had to go off?

All in all I'm happy we can at least put a somewhat solid performance in but I'm just angry looking at it why do we put a good performance in against a good team but we can't beat a crap team like sharks or someone and our defense is just woeful, you can't blame the team fully because there's a lot of in-experienced players but how can we defend so bad it's just ridiculous.

I don't disagree he needs work, like a lot of the young guys, but where better to learn than first grade? The season is gone in terms of making the finals. Lets get the young guys out there and give them the opportunities to improve.
 
I don't know what we do with Randell, but Clydsdale for the first 25, Levi for the middle 30, and Clydsdale for the last 25 is the way we need to go with hookers for the rest of the season.

Carlos had better numbers than Gidley this week. 23 good tackles.

It's frustrating that we can't win and that the young guys ran out of gas, but I think there are good signs there with a lot of our young guys.

Funny you say that about Scott. He's been about as interested as Leilua in recent weeks but no one says boo. I won't miss him.

I don't think getting clowned every week is going to do him any good.

No it's not stupid. Defence can be taught, I'm even sure they have defensive coaches. There is various factors that contribute to that and confidence is one of them. You think playing on a side of the field he isn't comfortable with helps his confidence? And like you said, going with your man or not, he is exactly in between because he is hesitating.maybe a lack of confidence
