Round 15: Newcastle Knights vs Brisbane Broncos

[88Knight4life]

Wow

[88Knight4life]

I hope someone in the crowd levels the ref

[Grandpa Joe]

Lino has the brains of a bowl of cat food seriously.

[slotmachine]

Ramien and early ball

[OnTilt]

Worth watching this horrid game just to watch Boyd try and tackle Ramien then.

Can hit a conversion but.

[Rob]

Man, I love Saf

[slotmachine]

You've got a pretty good team when you're missing one of your two best players, the other one has a stinker and you still beat the broncos and the refs.

[Battler]

Can hit a conversion but.

the way he drilled the first one was a thing of beauty

[ImissVuna]

I'm actually so impressed with the defence. I know Broncos didn't throw a whole heap at us but some extremely hard calls against us and we held firm. Strip against Hunt wasn't picked up but I don't blame the bunker for that because it wasn't 100% definitive i suppose. Really impressed

[Tubby]

Couldn't have played worse in that second half and yet still won by 14. Concerning the lack of discipline in the last 2 games though. Need to be better against the better teams

[rhugh89]

Bit scrappy in parts but a crucial win and very impressed with our defence

Commiserations to Ashley Klein who was outstanding for the Broncos and was by far their best player

The club should put in a official complaint after that game.
Some of those calls blew my mind.

SKD in open field play gets pinned for running behind a player.
McCullough did it 10m off our line and play on? Seriously?
Hunt loose carry? But 2 minutes later Lodge was a strip? Seriously poor effort from the refs.

They need broncos for tv ratings and sell out crowds. It was quite disgusting. We were poor and should have went on with it but that was real bad from those two officials.

[mozza]

Great 1st half, ordinary 2nd. Good for them to come out and finish strongly in the last 15 though.

Anyone get the final penalty count?

14-7 I think.

I believe Newcastle now have the honour of conceding the most penalties in a game this season.

They must be a terribly ill disciplined bunch of young men.

14 Knights, 7 Bronco’s

Straight up - worst ref calls ever

And commiserations to Ashley Klein’s TAB account which took a hit too

Their last five sets or so at the end of the first set the broncos got a penalty, it’s as if their mate Klein wanted to get them some momentum heading into the break
