Little expectations. I don’t hear anyone expecting him to offer 50% of what KP does.
Not on here perhaps, but there are plenty of people on social media criticising Hoy for coming in and not being as prolific a try-generator as Ponga. Often I see Hoy trying the goose-step before passing it to a centre/winger, which makes me wonder how much Hoy is trying to be like Ponga anyway. They're in different classes. I agree with you in hoping that Hoy keeps things simple and executes well.

Hoy needs to stop with the dumb goose step that doesn't fool anyone, he isn't ponga. He needs to learn how to run straight and hard, show urgency and effort in defence and learn how to catch a ball.

Unfortunately he hasn't shown any improvement and has gone backwards, I would rather Mann at fullback and sasagi at centre.

Warriors here, fair to say both our seasons haven't gone to plan is a bit of an understatement. I don't have much as I have been crook for a couple of weeks and have been feeling too sorry for myself to worry about the Warriors. What I can say is Walsh will start at FB if he is fit, have heard nothing to say he isn't. If not RTS is an adequate replacement I reckon.

Our back 5 of Walsh, RTS, Berry, Aitken and Montoya is near our best. Ken Maumalo and David Fusitua have given us great service over the years but Ken's gone and Fusitua's future is up in the air. Walsh and RTS have had screeds written about them. Aitken is strong defensively and is now showing a passing game, Berry is our Bradman Best when he was starting out. Montoya has been a revelation, originally signed as depth, he has worked his way to the top spot.

In the Halves we have Sean O'Sullivan and Nikorima, personally I would have had O'Sullivan playing more games, he is an organiser and has a good pass and boot. Nikorima drifts in and out of games too much. I would have Harris-Tavita and O'Sullivan in the Halves personally, but not to be.

Our forwards depend on Addin Fonua-Blake, with Tohu Harris the icing, the rest will follow those two. Jazz at Hooker scares us. Too often Jazz rows with only one oar in the water for all his effort plays. My tip is a young bloke Otukolo will debut from the Bench.

Generally we as fans have been OK with Nathan Brown so far. There will always be dissent over selections with any Coach, but generally he has a pass mark.

All the best guys, I am sure we will see a good game.

Good as gold thanks, manflu to be honest, bit more invested with the Cricket test championship final to be honest, first day rained out, who could have predicted that in England.
Such a disappointment!! I’ve taken the first half of next week off work to watch it, we’ve got such a good chance if it’s sunny.

As for being ok with Brown so far, what do you think of the longterm DWZ signing?

To be fair his signings have been good, DWZ is a bob each way signing with RTS going to Union and Walsh being so young so it makes sense.

More concerning are those not being retained, particularly Paul Turner and Karl Lawton. How much that is being driven by Brown is arguable. Peter O'Sullivan is head recruitment, Gus Gould would have a say as well no doubt.

Not ideal but in my opinion better than having a low confidence, low impact, low form reserve grader at FB. Mann may be plonk but his effort, defence and bravery warrant him slotting in at FB over Hoy. Jones to have a blinder at centre and become everyone’s hero.
