Ooooh. That’s a riddle I hope we never ever have to solve. Who goes at the back….Hoy or Mann. I’d probs lean Mann because he would at least pick up more meters coming out the back.Well that wrecked any confidence we had of winning easily. Surely anyone would be better than Hoy at fullback (maybe not Mann though
I’m certain the statisticians clock Hoy’s sideways runs. His average meters flatters him when you watch what he brings.

I would guess Klem is on more than both combined. Jacob wasn't going too well when resigned. And Dan didn't look elsewhere.

Hoy to f/b, one change only, to late to make multiple changes unless it’s Watson to f/b and Hoy to bench again only one change but could upset interchange etc

O’Brien will be doing the right thing.
He’s the best option. Hodgson isn’t ready, Watson is doing too well in the forwards and Mann would make twice as many errors as Hoy.

He’s played a game and a half of reserve grade. We’ve seen the terrible effect that blooding a bunch of kids before they’re ready has had on their careers over the last 5 years or so. Why do it again when it’s not a necessity?

IF Ponga tries to make SOO II I for one will be disappointed in he and Obi. Give him time to recover fully.

I don’t think I can take another game of Hoy … surely one of the worst Knights since the early days.
Tex has looked below average this year, I wouldn't have him any where near the top grade at the moment. However, I wouldn't completely write his career off at this point either. He's young and he is down on confidence. He hasn't yet discovered how he gets the job done against the men. I thought he looked much more dangerous last year but is playing more with self preservation now then self confidence. He does need to go back to reggies and I wouldn't be picking him again until he is absolutely killing it week in, week out.
I think there’s a huge amount of pressure on Hoy as well. He’s filling in for one of our only points-generating players. I think a lot of people hope for him to be a Ponga clone in Ponga’s absence, which will never happen. Not an excuse for his poor play, but he needs support from the rest of the team which he doesn’t usually get IMO.

I’m just hoping he catches the ball, communicates and runs straight. Little expectations. I don’t hear anyone expecting him to offer 50% of what KP does.

Yeah if Tex still struggles this weekend, with what should be a much more simplified role playing with two proper halves, not needing to do much besides run and support, then I’ll come down on him a bit harder I think.
Yes, the effort areas are where he needs to be good
