Good enough to play in a grand final Was anyone in our side good enough to play for the sharks in the final ...I think not ...Therefore he has to make our side better ....

That makes no sense. I'm assuming you think Townsend is a better halfback than Cronk because the Sharks won the Grand Final and Melbourne didn't?

Does anyone know much of this John Bateman from Esl that we are chasing for 2018 ? Says he's there gone front rower , I did a bit of research on him and he'd be a tiny prop
John Bateman (born 30 September 1993) is an English professional rugby league player who currently plays for the Wigan Warriors. He primarily plays second-row and loose forward but can also play centre. Bateman made his England test debut against France in October 2015. Bateman signed for Wigan Warriors in November 2013 from Bradford Bulls....Back rower mostly ...

Both Saifiti's and an out of form Korbin would get selected ahead of him. Do you watch him play? He plays limited minutes and makes next to no impact.

He could potentially be as good as his twin brother. Just needs to work a little harder on lines and footwork at the line.

He's a big body and we need a big body because it doesn't seem that Brown rates Pauli. We aren't getting any stars so calm your farm. If Brown can get him to use his size and not hit the ball up like a plod then good. He certainly isn't the calibre of his brother but we need a prop and someone with a bit of grunt.

I had a glimpse of him in his first few NRL games & he made some good runs. Haven't seen too much of him beyond that. A lot of players make no impact when they have limited minutes, the reason he got limited minutes is because he was a project player in a representative standard Cronulla forward pack. By no means a star, but a big body who can make a good run & throw an offload on the cheap would be value for money in our moneyball style of recruitment.

All the people whinging about us potentially signing D.Fafita, Heighington & Starling. Should make some realistic recommendations on who we should be signing for next season other than just saying pass to every player that is linked

I'd rather keep Stockwell than sign Heingington or Starling. I can cop David Fifita because there's a bit of mongrel in him and a fair bit of potential.

I want to sign players that'll improve our side. Buhrer will add plenty, Kostjayson I'm not sure on. He's a good defender and serviceable hooker so he's essentially an older Randall. We'll have to wait and see with him.

I know we won't be getting any superstars but we shouldn't be wasting money on players who don't provide anything.

Because you still have hodko, cogger and lamb trying to fit into two spots before lolohea shows up.

Hodkinson is locked in for half. They are not going to move him to reserves. Brown has said in pressers he is happy with Hodkinson and he is a top player playing with nuffies basically.

That leaves Lamb and Cogger. Both of these will not suffer from another year learning, and maybe filling in for injuries.

Mullen playing hooker worked well in the one game he played. He doesn't have the stamina/longevity to be our full time 5/8 anymore, but playing half a game at hooker might be a good option for him.

And it increases the depth at several positions doing so. Even with Lolohea not coming here, I'd rather Mullen move to hooker with Kostjasyn and have Levi as backup. Move Lamb or Cogger to 5/8.

Competition for positions is a good thing.

Haha wtf, Mullen and hodkinson are our halves, lamb and cogger are our reserve halves. That's it.
If there's an injury then one of them step up but no way would we consider them as first graders yet when we have other issues to worry about.

Brown said that he wanted to put Mullen at hooker & Lamb at five-eighth during the season, but the plan was spoiled as they both got long term injuries. That either means Brown sees Mullo as a hooker or just really wants to get Lamb in the side as soon as possible, or both. So that's why people have a feeling Lamb might not be far off from securing a spot.
