Phoenix Crossland discussion

Yeah, many were saying it was phoenix not supplying good ball, causing the forwards to not come onto the ball and Brailey was the answer. Now it seems to have flipped.
I think it's neither and we need maximum minutes from both as they are both seeming to actually try.
Why we can't make meters in the same situations as other teams has me mystified
I think both things are semi-true.

Unfortunately Phoenix has inconsistent distribution (sometimes he throws the perfect 20m pass to a playermaker out in front and you wonder why isn't this happening all the time) and particularly struggles with manipulating markers and bringing forwards onto the ball.

Brails is generally consistent in that regard (though has a few shockers under fatigue) and is solid defensively but doesn't bring anything near Crosslands line speed, dominant tackling or support play.

Neither are our big problems, would be nice if both could start taking notes from the other and progressing together.

Crossland is also a solid defender, neither I would say is great at bringing the forwards on to the ball as there is often a little pause in forwards runs waiting to receive the ball before hitting the line.

The reason I want to get Crossland on the park more is all about his drive and the intensity he shows in game. Which is the biggest problem in the team, low intensity to everything we do.

I see no point in continuing something that isn't working without making some changes.

Brailey's defensive workrate and impact was a key strength, it may take time to get back to where he was in that regard.

Sure, so whilst he is getting back to that, maybe bring him back through reggies and make him earn his spot back in 1sts.

Crossland I believe deserves his shot at the 9 again now, we ren't winning games, we lack energy and enthusiasm, something that is a strength for Crossland.

Anyway, I'm sure team lists will come out nd D.Saf will be named on the bench so OB looks like he is making a change, but not really, and Brailey will be the 9.

I don't expect to see a chang in the halves either as OB will be mindful of the changes he has made and won't want to be swapping them in and out weekly.

And it continues.

Was he really that bad?? He definitely wasn't great but he also started slowly last year and got better over time so I think he could do it again

Where are you pulling weights from Dan?

Pheonix's profile on NRL.com and the Knights website has him at 86kgs. He's 5kgs lighter than McInnes, and 10-20 lighter than everyone else you mentioned. Looks it too
Clubs pages. I know pheens was 94kgs before round 1. He may have stripped a few kg since playing though. Maintenance weights and playing weights will obviously too and fro.
