MACDOUGALL BRINGS X FACTOR

The Newcastle Knights have announced their team for Monday night’s game, with Kurt Gidley and Adam MacDougall set to make the difference.

“Getting Gids back in particular is outstanding for us,” said Dunemann.

“What he brings to the team, it’s only players and coaches who really know what he brings to the table.”

While illness forced Adam MacDougall from the team that played the Warriors, he has been named to play in the centres and is set for a big game.

“Doogs is massive for us, if he was out there on the weekend it could have been the difference between us winning and losing.

“He just brings that X factor to our team and he has a lot of experience as well.

“When he is out there he gives us something different.”

The halves combination set to take on the Eels will be Ben Rogers and Jarrod Mullen.

“I think that is where we are going to be moving forward.

“I think Dodge and Mullo both give us a really good attacking aspect and run the footy so am hoping they can really come up with something together and that we can stick with them for the rest of the year.”

Doogs being the X Factor is quite possibly the biggest crap I have ever heard. *Waits for James* :p
 
Probably the strongest team we have fielded this season! Downside is that Naquima is on the bench, wasted bench spot IMO.
 
What a great looking team, hopefully Edwards gets his chance this weekend and doesn't get dropped at the last minute. Naiqama I'd say would be 18th man and will be training in case Maddog pulls out last minute again. Really excited about this game, Kurt and Dodge back is great for our defence and attack. Hopefully the weather holds so we can put the Eels to sleep.
 
Everybody hates Wes, but look at it this way he has played two solid games at FB this year and can relieve Gids to play 5/8 or hooker during the game. Wes's kick returns on the weekend were awesome. He ran hard and straight something our backs have struggled with all year with the exception of Uate. Lets get our season back on track.
 
Naiqama had a good game on the weekend, but tbh he shouldnt be named on the bench. Hes not gonna help our go forward IMO...Ciraldo dropped?
 
Pretty good team this week, hopefully we can get a win on the board against the Eels on Monday night but it will be hard. I really hope Edwards comes onto the bench for Naiqama

Didn't he lead centres in the NRL for try assists last year? So if that is not your idea of an x-factor then you should be wheeled off to a psychiatric ward.

Might be Edwards Weekend to debut, Maddog is bound to come up with some trumped up ailment, as he hasnt had hes three week rest yet. :)

Otherwise, WTF is Wes doing on the bench :doubt:

2009 was so last year... where is he this year? I'm anti MacDougall because the guy is a soft c*ck who cant string games together. Did I not tell you last week he wasn't going to play against the Warriors because he has had his one game for the month :lol:

Great looking side, i hope Edwards makes hit debut though.. poor guy gets named and doesnt get a chance to play.

X-Factor could be vuna off the bench, would love to see him get a run, anywhere really he runs harder than most forwards in the comp...
 
Good looking side. If they can't perform the goods with what's fielded there I'll be worried. McManus is still a bit rusty but is coming good and Uate never ceases to amaze me. I hope he's a Knight for life.
