NRL Round 9 - Knights Vs Rabbitohs - 2:00pm Sunday, 3rd of May - McDonald Jones Stadium

Guys, we completed at 69% because we were chancing our hand.

Souths had majority possession. And majority good field position.

Souths are an elite attacking threat. Mitchell was in a mood mood. Without him they score maybe 3 tries. He is immense and Gagai got absolutely worked. Brown was huge in defence out there.

Massive massive win. We needed that. And we should be very excited by how much swagger we have. Our shape, set up and execution is as good as youll see from any team this year.
Couldn’t agree more mate.

When you’re that slick and your key players are that good your margin for error is massive.

The defence will improve as young players get better, there’s more cohesion, the stakes are higher. And it will improve as the team becomes more confident.

If you can’t score points you never get that confidence and eventually you get worn down by how good you have to be at everything else just to compete.

Brown never lifts his legs/weight off the ground and is only swung around by the momentum in the tackle (ie not by lifting his legs). He'll be unlucky to cop a fine imo..although who knows with the NRL Judiciary Chocolate Wheel.

These are the sort of wins that you can really build on. Really promising that we didn’t drop our heads when we went behind late in the game, just kept fighting and found a way to get ahead. Really think it’ll be a huge boost for the playing group, doing that against a top side, as well.

Are we the only team yet to play a night game? ( Our first is not until round 14). Current state of the game + a dry daytime track is always going to see more points conceded, better completions and more ball in play. Our current points against may be skewed abit by this?

I don’t read comments on here while game is being played, to busy watching, getting anxious, cheering and complaining but through all that some of you should go back and read your comments made.
Yes bad plays, mistakes, refereeing errors, forward passes, they happen on both sides, sometimes one side more than others. Decisions don’t matter quite as much if you are well ahead, in charge, BUT, when game is close, seesawing, then every decision is argued, protested, probably on both sides which all adds up to the excitement of will we or won’t we win, We will win some we shouldn’t and lose some we shouldn’t but as long as the team tries hard and gives us hope of success. If we win I am happy if we lose I am sad.
Today I am HAPPY

He doesn’t have 2 brain cells to rub together. He only gets a gig because he’ll say something stupid about one of his 3 million enemies and create headlines.
Yeah he was saying multiple times how it was like watching Joey pass to Gidley then to the wingermultple times then when Marzhew scored a few in the first half he said where was that at the titans…like you dumbarse mate you guys let him go for someone younger smh lol
Like literally the definition of adding nothing to the commentary

After letting the dust and my feelings settle. We did well to find a couple of clutch moments when it mattered despite all the running going against us.

Defensively I'm not super worried about how many points we conceded as it seems to come with the territory of PVL ball, I think this season will go on record as the most points scored ever.

Latrell turned it on in the second half which definitely didn't help, but we showed grit and character to wrestle the win back despite everything going against us in the final 20.

Now onto a stretch of very winnable games heading into Origin where the top teams generally tend to falter. This season could be anything!

I was worried how many points we letting latley but seeing tigers get 50 put on them and alot of clubs getting smashed...seems like its one of those high scoring seasons/fast paced games

Fatigue is naturally a much larger factor this season. The ball is in play so much more with the new set restart rules so in the back end of halves there's a lot more fatigue setting in, which seems to be when a lot of points are being scored.
