Plus if it's just a short time off the field then it's the team in subsequent weeks that get the benefit through any suspension.

I agree it's within the rules and a shocking tackle. But from what I can find since 2008 there are only 2 teams that have won with a first half send off.

I just think there could be a better rules implemented since the NRL is happy to change rules like underwear.

Nah I think there has to be a really strong disincentive to what J Saf did. It was very very poor from him. If it spoils one game as a spectacle so be it.
