It’s our final regular season match of the year! It’s been a hugely improved 2026, can we get up for one final week and notch a massive win across the Tasman? And who will be playing, will Dom and Friz take the field, or take a holiday? A home final is on the line, let’s do this!!!

I didn’t think Doms was that bad, he’s defending trying to stop a try on the line. More instinctual type tackle, compared to the lazy hip drops where a player pulls through the line in general play.
Time to start J Saf, Frizz back to middle bench forward and give Saulo a run, big strong aggressive fella, surely can do a better job than Crouch or Cant who haven’t offered much lately.

Tossing up going on a nice long walk and leaving the phone at home rather than watching this one.
That’s a great idea. I spent much of today building lego with my girls with the game on but volume off. Hurt less. But still really ****ed me off given the stakes.

I was banging on about standards and drilling in consistency last week. It’s the next evolution beyond talent and the coaches philosophy of play. We have a long way to go in this regard despite the clear improvements this year (coming of a crazy low base).

Rather had that happen now than in week one of finals, probably the wake up call we needed going into the final part of the season.

Think this a good opportunity for the boys to empty the tank against the wahs and potentially come away with a big upset. Not expecting us to win given how well they are going but hoping for a tight contest like that against the sharks and roosters not long ago.

Still a good chance we get a home final as the bunnies still have to go 2/2 just depends on if the roosters rest in R27.

Dom's only saving grace is he and Koula were going full pace to score/stop tries, its a different action compared to a normal field tackle with a lazy swing of the body. He crashed into him and hand one arm on him by end and swung down. Hopefully just a week. If not then All what I've said about Hunt being a top tier winger and not a centre will come to fruition ;)

What do we think will be the mindset of the team going into this game? Must win, rest players, play to just get through the game unscathed? A hint from Hollbrooks presser is he said it would be good to get a home semi but he thinks the team can win away fine.
