Oh it’s including NSW Cup in the counts I was looking at.
I’m not saying I think he’d be Joey Johns, but came through the ranks highly touted (made junior rep sides) and seems like we gave up on trying to develop him as a half when he was 21. It doesn’t matter but I will always wonder if he could’ve been a halfback at first grade level.

LOL - I was just thinking the same thing as I read your post...what could possibly go wrong 👍🍻.....ah question??? if 2 players from the same team professionally foul each other, do they both go to the bin?!🤣
I can’t see a lot of roaming about.

“I’ll stick to my side and you better stick to your side, GOT IT?!” 👊🏼🤬

On a more serious note, the things that Pryce does that don’t often come off, little grubbers early in the count and chip kicks etc might actually work with a first grade team that’s a bit switched on to it? Maybe he just needs a more polished attack around him to showcase his skills a bit better, even if it is this hot and cold Knights outfit?

He’s played 31 games in the halves in first grade, how many does he need before it’s a solid crack?

We won 12 of those 31 games, by the way.

Well if you listen to some here, you need 50 or 100 games of NRL before you learn how to play at NRL level or something.

I read that on here a few times over the years.

Another one is props don't actually get any good until they are almost 30, then, after spending 10 years of getting them to their peak 30 performance, we get 2-3 good years before they retire! I'm still waiting on those good Saf's years. 28 now, golden years are about to arrive!

There are a few strange beliefs going around this forum for some reason.

In Crossland's defence though, winning 12 of those 31 games, were all during a horrible time to be playing for the Knights and the squad around him was pretty poor. That's like saying Cogger is great because of his win rate at Penrith. If we swapped the two of them around for those same games, how many wins would they have each?

Having said all of that, Crossland isn't the answer.

Hastings needs to be switched on this round, won't get any help organising the team from Pryce. But if Hastings can manage that well, Pryce is fairly likely to have a good game rather than a bad one.

I reckon he's up to it. And despite being erratic, untested, and demonstrably lacking the temperament to be a FG half, I think he's more than good enough to 'switch on' and have a blinder

Almost worth setting a new first in the NRL just to see it.

2 players on the same team punching on.

I can imagine NRL360 now!
I’ve seen this happen a couple of times in English Premier League. The most famous was Lee Bowyer vs Kieran Dyer. Teammates that fully punched on behind the play. Remember it well, couldn’t believe my eyes. Must have hated each other.

From all reports Pryce is popular and Jackson is a knob. Think Pryce has also been befriended by KP too which probably doesn’t help the Jacko dynamic. Can’t see him being around in 2025. Feel for him, must have some mad demons that need addressing.

Crossland had a little bit of hype coming through the juniors, was in the NSW under 20s squad, kicked a 40/20 in his debut I think. I have no idea what kind of player he was in the juniors, but he just ain't an NRL half. Tries too hard, makes mistakes or takes poor options. We put him into a role he fits, an all effort middle player, hooker or lock. In saying that, I don't think we'd be any worse off throwing him in there ahead of Cogger, that's how desperate we are, at least you know Crossland will get involved. Pryce is the nuclear option, so it'll be exciting, all or nothing now.
