I’m a rate payer in Parramatta LGA.

Parramatta Council recently agreed to a 3 year deal sponsorship of the Eels of $1.15M over 3 years ($383,333 per year). Council say the Eels run excellent coaching clinics particularly for young girls and the response to them has been excellent.

I think $383,333 per year is excessive for a Council sponsorship. What does everyone else think?

All council need to focus on is roads,rates and rubbish. To give a private entity public money screams of a funding scam to me.

Parra council drinking taxes and section 94 contributions for fun for 15 years with the endless development of the city and surrounding precincts. They're seriously liquid.

$380k into the parra eels maybe unnecessary but it isn't a material expense, it'd be part of their sundry budget.

Game day. Feeling confident even with Moses playing. If we bring the level of performance we did against Melbourne and Penrith we should be too strong especially buoyed on by a big crowd .

That is my fear , I think our back three are in for a busy afternoon. Another bid test for young Sharpe. I hope Pryce has a decent kicking game ? . Although the bar has been set pretty low!
