NRL Round 11 - Knights Vs Eels - 6:00pm Friday 16 May - McDonald Jones Stadium

Matt Arthur topped the fantasy points in reserve grade with 53.
He played 80 minutes for the first time and made 41 tackles - 1 try assist and 1 line break assist.
Parra are his old club. I think he'd love a game against them.

Yeah I think it’s time to drop Brailey. We need some creativity at dummy half. Might be throwing him in a bit early, but need him primed for next season.

Another home game and another loss I would say....Moses will kick the **** out of us and no doubt brown will be up for a big game.

We lost to a rubbish titans side, I believe Parra is better.....this is going to be an embarrassing game.
My money is Moses has a 1.3 million dollar game and brown doesn’t.

At the start of the year I was super excited about Brailey he looked to have found some old form but has fallen off the face of the earth since his signing with Raiders.
Crossland is here long term but god help us. He’s far too predictable as a hooker. He always goes the direction he’s looking and it’s always opposite to the obvious choice. We could have 4 players to their 2 on the left 20m out and he does a stupid little 1 metre grubber to the right and turns it over. He can tackle but all great teams have a great hooker that plays eyes up footy. I think this is also why he’d never be one of the great halves of the game either it’s just not his style.

Changes I would make are

Aurther in for Braily (off the bench)
Gamble in for Cogger
McCarthy in for Marz
Herthington in for Leo if available (Leo concussion I heard)
If not available Cant.

When/If Dom comes straight into the starting side.

You didn’t watch the NSW cup game yesterday did you? Gamble was absolutely horrible worst player on the field

No I didn’t. Billy mentioned he made errors, but he also created some opportunities. That’s typical Gamble. Hopefully he got those errors out of his system because I don’t want to deal with Coggers poor half back plays.

The bears got 3 line breaks to set up 2 of there tries just by running straight at Gamble, his defence is horrendous
Cogger all day for me with what we have available

The fact remains that Gamble was our first choice halfback option, he’s just had injury setbacks. Gamble will make mistakes, but he will take chances and back himself. Cogger is a passenger out there and he isn’t void of mistakes himself. Can’t remember how many times he’s hit a forward short when there’s space out the back, or awful kicking options.

Gamble's a weird player, he's never exactly brained reggies. Plenty have been way better than him at that level but then less effective first graders. I don't think we should read a lot into it.

You can make an argument Gamble was the best on ground in our one finals win since 2013. Maybe Cogger's grand final trumps that, but it wasn't for us.

Gamble had a fantastic 2023 season. While he isn’t a perfect defender, there were multiple times he saved tries or made momentum shifting tackles. And he showed a lot more in attack than I was expecting.
