NRL General Recruitment and Retention

What’s happening by with lachy fitz? Hes 31 I think and had his best year right before he left. Heard he was back in Newy but for local footy? Anyone know how he’s travelling?

Damn if he doesn’t turn his back on the code that made him, I wonder if the eels will let him play for us if we give Marzhew…

Apparently he can only sign with a NRL team if they give permission so…

I feel like his time at the Dragons made him out to be an unlikeable character.

Was rocks or diamonds for a long time and only recently managed some consistency. Loved the highlights reel worthy all or nothing play. Always seemed he viewed himself as bigger than the team.

I find it interesting both Lomax and Paps and NAS have all cleared their contracts. And have a period now of no club.

Paps has come out of this looking good - like he’s taking a break from footy and exploring life. He’s played his hand pretty well - I’m fully expecting a Rugby 360 deal to be announced next year.

NAS termination seems very mutual.

It’s just the Lomax one at the moment that seems very Lomax driven.

In relation to 10 year bans. It will be interesting to see if it ever eventuates. I doubt it.

Iongi is a freak, he’s not as good as Ponga but I couldn’t see the Eels wanting to make that deal when they’ve got a few other pressing issues.

I see that Meninga is definitely a great choice and big draw for players with the Bears having signed a grand total of zero players thus far.

Mal is that bad a coach that Hagan was considered the brains of the operation when they coached together for Queensland.

I think it's pretty much accepted that he's a dud coach and was appointed as a figurehead.
The bit I don't understand is why anyone associated with the bears thought players in this day and age give a **** about a bloke who retired 30 years ago and struggles to string a sentence together.
