Knights confirm they are 1 of 6 in AAC'S report

Sorry Aku'd but I'm going to call your associate a liar, does he work for fox sports? Here's the rumour I got sent
..Bit of inside info..
The scoop that is going around- 3 sharks player and a couple more have been named with the sharkies... But the big news is __________ has dogged manly and they will be stripped of their premiership due to the substance they took in '09. ____________ and ____________caught out on phone taps working out how to beat the system... ____________. could be in trouble as he knew what was happening at manly... Time will tell!
Fwd:
From a guy who works at fox sports;

Newcastle are next. Apparently seven players to be suspended. _____________ will be exposed as the player who introduced danks to sharks and Wayne Bennett. Manly have 17 players still involved. Rumour has it they will be stripped of 2008 and 2011 premierships. __________ has rolled over to ASADA. ____________has been giving supplements to manly and Canterbury players knowingly. Sharks are just the star

Edited so no names used!

Danks has never had anything to do with Bennett!

As Junior says, can we please not post these ridiculous rumours?

I received the exact same SMS and laughed at it, these claims are ridiculous.

As mentioned Dank had had nothing to do with Bennett ever.

My whole point of posting is was to show aku'd how much the rumour looked like his!!

To be honest I think the knights will be fine. 100% confident

YES!! obviously this could involve anyone especially we've had such a good start and to derail it straight away, and imagine how disappointed bennett would be if we were found guilty of something, he could leave :(

I'm fretting my eyeballs out but all you can do is just not think about and hope this doesn't affect us. There's nothing to indicate we're in trouble apart from a few dodgy rumours so I'm taking that as we're clean and just get on with it until something more substantial gets mentioned.

There's no point stressing over something that might not happen, enjoy the amazing start to the season and hope the boys can keep it going!

This is so stupid. I'm not worried at all. Jeremy Smith is the only one who has a little bit to worry about because he was at the Sharks last year but he knows if he's guilty or not.

I read in the paper there was already legal precedent where if the players were oblivious to what was going into their bodies and it could be proven it was the sports staff giving it to them, then it was on the sports staff. Forgot when the precedent was and what it was for.

We've turned over so many players since the period in question, that there's really not a lot to worry about. They say we've been fine since Hunter Sports took over, that's enough for me not to be concerned at all.

Worst case scenario is we lose a player or two for six months ... no different from them doing a knee, which could happen at any moment, anyway.

Double bonus if they do a knee for 6 months, then get caught and is banned for six months.

This is just getting blown out of proportion, I think if ASADA had anything on any players that they would have moved after those players straight away, they are just 'sabre rattling' to see what clubs and players put their hand up, that's why they offered the sharks players the 6month ban option if they cooperated with ASADA and told them everything.

If ASADA had any issues with Manly and this whole 'cows blood' thing they would have done something when it was so heavily in the press a few years ago, why is it now that they're getting involved?

PieGuy - there was a precedent in the olympics, I read the same report where an athlete won a gold medal but then had it taken off her because her coach gave her something and she was told it was something else, she won it back on appeal, so precedent has been set

Its calves blood, and i am pretty sure it is legal, I even remember reports that des was fully aware and in favor of it to give the manly boys whatever edge they could get.

Yes you are right Calves Blood is legal and approved by ASADA providing it is injected into the muscle and not the vein

The Newcastle knights have been cleared,

the investigation now has moved to target 31 current NRL players and 10 former players in this ASADA

I was keeping up with this thread for a while but nothing interesting was being posted in here so I stopped reading it and now there is 26 pages! Can anyone just basically give me the highlights so I don't have to read through 20 pages of crap
