As far as I know (could be wrong) it was just down to all the testimonies from former teammates and opposition. Along with blood tests which did show levels of some whatsamajig rising and falling in accordance with injections being made. But yeah, I'm no expert on the whole saga, so I could be wrong - sorry if I am.
It's like someone said earlier on in the thread, with the more advanced drugs these days, a positive test is just part of what they're looking for to build a case. These drugs are very unlikely to be picked up in traditional tests.
It's bound to take a while as well ... Armstrong's investigations went on for years.
Accept they've been caught doing the wrong thing and take their punishment?

As far as i see it, cronulla were vulnerable... no ceo, boss overseas... bruno will tell themt o **** off... look at the afl... they have pretty much kept asada away and told them to **** off... the nrl should of done the same thing! its pretty simple... charge these players with something or go away and let us play footy. if the afl can do it, the nrl should be able to as well

Guys, I have just learnt of some disturbing news. I hardly post here and have never started a rumor. A business associate of mine in Sydney has links to senior officials in Manly who are about to send shock waves through the NRL. 17 Manly players are in trouble and 7 Knights players. All on top of the Cronulla situation. The word is an Ex Cronulla player now at the Knights and a current star at Cronulla have been caught on wire taps trying to beat the system. Quite damning evidence. The NRL whilst looking to be doing nothing are actually holding back the full truth which will destroy the NRL. Maybe days or weeks or months before we know. Maybe just a Fad. However the source is very reliable and certainly not a liar. As neither am I. I remain hopeful but cautious of what will unfold. I would love to call this guy a bull****ter in 6 months time!!

mate it's exactly this sort of thing that is making this whole situation so much worse. the whole i know someone that knows someone that said blah blah. We've been hearing this stuff for weeks and so far nothing.
now IF these guys are trying to "beat the system" and doing all this stuff knowing full well what would happen if they were caught, do you really think they would let some guy that "has links" to officials know whats going on ? these types of groups operate on a need to know. They don't go around blabbing to their "associates".
not meaning this as an attack on you at all mate. Just a bit sick of these rumours being thrown around.

That rumour has been going around for weeks. The truth is nobody outside of ASADA has any idea what exactly is going to happen, and the fact that they offered severley reduced sentences for players to come forward might be an indicator that don't have as strong a case as what has been suggested.

If there was 17 players at manly they would have said so when it became clear manly were next on the list but they didn't they said 3 not calling anyone a liar or having a go at anyone but I dont think these rumors are true. I may be wrong and if so I will put my hand up. I refuse to believe that 7 players from our club would be involved in this kind of crap I will say what I have repeatedly said and as many people on here have said I have faith in the club, Officials, players, structures, policies and culture either ASADA starts showing us some evidence or **** off stop playing games and offering back room deals and start backing up your accusations you are smearing our game our clubs our players and this Country's sporting reputation.....this goes for Kate Lundy and Jason Clare as well who after that vicious press conference have both been very quiet.

This is why Paul Kent said he's got information but he won't report anything because nothing is confirmed and there's no evidence. I think we all should take the same approach. If we hear something from an unreliable source then just keep it to yourself or in your circle of friends because it's not fair that fans on here have to stress over something that is just as likely being untrue.
I'm not saying Aku'd is making this up or his information isn't correct but I just don't think it's worth creating a stir based on a rumour. We all know we're involved in this somehow, there's no point getting carried away until we hear news from people who know what they're talking about.

Agree with all of you. Point is, regardless of the Knights, this is deep and dodgy (not that you already don't know this) I will keep watching the boys and supporting them and will just forget about the Asada investigation until there is concrete evidence. Such a shame for the sport.

I still believe if there was multiple players from several teams involved the NRL would delay the start of the season. If Cronulla players are found to have a case to answer to do Gold Coast get the points from round 1 ? If they don't (and Cronulla players are guilty) wouldn't the Titans be dirty if they miss the 8 by 2 points. ASADA & WADA and anyone else involved should put up or shut up and let Clubs, players and fans get on with normality.

Bottom line they already had all this "intelligence" but in law there is a big difference between intelligence and evidence you don't get convicted on intelligence you get convicted when intelligence turns up evidence until that happens it is heresay....thats what ASADA needs to provide solid hard evidence this stuff needs to be sorted out soon its dragging everyone down

But the big news is __________ has dogged manly and they will be stripped of their premiership due to the substance they took in '09. ____________ and ____________caught out on phone taps working out how to beat the system... ____________. could be in trouble as he knew what was happening at manly... It's been rumoured for weeks now that Manly are in the **** and will get their premierships stripped, it's been rumoured for the last week that an ex Shark at the Knights is in big trouble with another just as guilty, we all know of the player that's apparently doing the deals with ASADA and we all know that Sharks are just the start.
Personally I appreciate any type of scoop regarding the Knights but the constant rumours about our involvement in the drug scandal when noone has any idea what's going on is just getting annoying.
