It's a requirement to sign for the Knights that you have a player option at the end of your deal.

I'm hearing word of a 1mill a year contract, absolutely huge if we managed to keep him at that figure for that length of time.

The NRL lists them, Klemmer has a set contract. Interestingly though, Fitzgibbon and Jack Johns have player options for their last years as well as Frizell. Not sure why we're giving out player options to Fitz and Johns.

Not sure when we signed up Fitz, that's at least some what understandable given he is one of our starting back rowers. Johns is a strange one though.

We re-signed Fitz on a much lower deal than what he was on previously. From what I remember he put himself on the open market and had no teams interested so he settled with us. In this situation the player option is in good faith, just in case he can secure more money elsewhere.
