No but the media have had him leaving since before he even got here. I’m aware of his dad’s role in this but it’s not like he’s the only player that’s spoken to the breakaway Union comp, plenty have.
Kalyn just seems to get more clicks than the others so the nothing articles continue

Think there was definitely some real smoke this time around, maybe he didn't find anything he liked the look of outside the Knights? Even the Knights #1 cheerleader Toohey was saying there are plenty of signs pointing to him leaving only a few hours ago on twitter.
In any case I'm sort of disappointed, I was looking forward to the post-Ponga era with a new coach and Sharpe/Brown playing in their actual positions. Oh well.
I look forward to him assuming the foetal position in front of opposition defenders for many years to come!

I have a suspicion the agent in question is shopping about 40 NRL players to this rugby comp, given that since Monday night RTS has all but signed and now there is Papenhuyzen rumours. Chammas probably got wind of Ponga’s name first and it’s gone crazy.

I'm on the fence about Ponga leaving.
I am definitely interested to see how he goes with Brown under a new coach.
But if it's similar to the last 2 years, I'm not too fussed if he leaves.
But he is going to be hard to replace with 2 new teams coming in and the LivRugby.

The Knights are burying their head in the sand when it comes to Ponga, but who cares?
Regardless of whether the Knights are burying their head in the sand or genuinely believe Ponga wants to be around, the narrative that he is committed to the cause suits all parties.

Look he’s come out and said he’s not leaving. You can look at it both ways positive or negative. But he’s staying so we have to look at the positives with KP in the side and firing. And if he is that is a massive upside.
Happy a new coach next season. We have given AOB a good go. I actually think he’s done ok, but need a change to go the next level.
I’m liking the J Aurthor signing. He could be a real option him and brown in the halves. Sharpe in the centres possibly. Give him a roaming option. Although small size Turbo is good in the centres. Why not Sharpe also.
Get your best players in the starting 17. Crossland 13, gamble bench. M Aurthor 9.
Just an option with Sharpe at center. If I was the new coach I would be looking at the option. I think it might be harder to pull off the Ponga, Brown, Sharpe spine. All the top sides have a good game managing 7. None of those 3 have that so I would seriously consider J Aurthor.
