Kalyn Ponga discussion

Has anybody ever written a sack AOB email to the club? just wondering if anyone had tried it, and if they got any sort of reply.

Walsh out with a PCL injury 4 - 6 weeks which will rule him out of origin. I’d be surprised if Billy didn’t pick Ponga even with is poor form atm.

I guess Votano or Hunt would come in. Or do they put Fletcher back to one, Gamble and Cogger halves.

Poor Ponga is out there playing 4D chess and we are giving him ****.

He’s committed to us this year, as he said, but it’s a long year.

Maybe, he’s just trying to play himself out of QLD contention. So he can then play all of our games over that period.

He just didn’t account for Walsh to be worse and Hammer to forget he’s the Hammer.

I can’t tell if you’re serious or not?

I think that whole pulling of Australia thing late last year might have thrown him off guard.

Going to call it now. If he leaves the Knights, he'll go to Rugby and play in NZ.

He never usually made big metres in a game like a Teddy or Dylan Edward’s but usually set up 3-4 tries

At moment he isn’t running or even trying with the ball so what exactly can we say he is offering

He keeps dropping at the defensive line each time he runs the ball and submits

He seems to end up on his knees without anyone touching him, just about every time he touches the ball. Something the coaching staff really need to drill into him to stop imo. You’re not a running threat if you effectively tackle yourself.

Why has Kayln stopped calling for the ball??? It's why we pay him the big money isn't it?? I'm so sick and tired of him just standing there doing nothing
I actually think the rest of the team is following his lead and have lost interest in the game

The whole attack is failing but the spine is the problem, not blaming anyone but they are very uncoordinated, part of the problem is Sharpe, he is a great open field runner but fails to link up with others, Ponga seems lost in where to make play and without any link gets caught more often than usual. It’s like none of them know what each other is doing

But the only logic behind playing Sharpe at 6 is you have him at 1 in attack - where he does understand his role and played well for us last year - and Kalyn operating more like a half.

If no one knows what they’re doing that’s on our $1.4 million primary playmaker, not the rook.
