Kalyn Ponga discussion

There was nothing in my post that said I think AOB should NOT be sacked.

My point was that there is no obvious solution to our problems as Wests are not going to agree to sacking AOB in the foreseeable future.
"Wow. There are some people on here who are very disillusioned with the Knights at present."

That Is what I was responding foremost, I think we as supporters have been disillusioned for quite longer than just the present.

Except those first few weeks where he was much more involved and getting the ball a lot more at first receiver?

I don’t think it is any coincidence since we announced Brown’s signing, Ponga has been with the fairies. Dropping balls cold, getting caught out in with kicks, throwing intercepts. It’s not the same laser-focused Ponga we’ve seen in recent seasons. I never bought into the hype that signing Brown would make Ponga want to stay. IMO it is likely to have the opposite effect - especially now that it won’t be just Ponga’s team anymore.

I was going to say that’s the weird thing, ever since that Origin performance in 2022 he’s been fantastic and consistent for us.

But come to think of it he did also start last season quite slowly.

I think that’s a bit of a Mandela effect take. He started last year in great form, created heaps of stuff out of nothing. Then he got that long term injury but played through it to close out the game vs the Dogs so yeah he wasn’t good in that game. We sucked in spite of him. Mostly due to the halves but also defensive application among the middles.

I think your response was over the top.

There was nothing in my post to suggest that I had lost touch with reality but I going to move on.

It seems like you’re very calm and collected Lefty … from the chief AOB must go campaigner!!! :o

I’m honestly very demoralised with the Knights at present. Each week there are different basics that we can’t perform. The intercept thrown by Ponga was elementary.

Unfortunately there is no light at the end of the tunnel but I’m old enough now to not let it get me angry because that will not change anything.

I’m just watching the Knights’s games now to see the mistakes they are making for myself.

I'll grant you that he made breaks on kick returns at will at the start of least year, but that doesn't usually earn your side points. The attack overall was a hot mess though. A part of that was Ponga getting the ball with zero shape around him and everyone else waiting to see what he'd do.

The Knights have killed your fire. 😔

Well I never, I mean all due respect to Lefty, but I thought I had the AOB must go chief position all locked up.

I'm going to have to step up me game!
You’re close, but some of @Lefty ’s posts used to have an intense edge to them that can’t be matched.

We need to sack AOB. We need to sack AOB. We need to sack AOB. We need to sack AOB. We need to sack AOB. We need to sack AOB. We need to sack AOB. We need to sack AOB. We need to sack AOB. We need to sack AOB. We need to sack AOB.
Sack AOB now! Sack AOB now! Sack AOB now! Sack AOB now! Sack AOB now! Sack AOB now! Sack AOB now! Sack AOB now! Sack AOB now! Sack AOB now! Sack AOB now! Sack AOB now! Sack AOB now! Sack AOB now! Sack AOB now! Sack AOB now!

There has to be a better coach than him. We are not going to progress as a team playing ugly. We have some talented players in our team and we won 10 matches straight last year by playing attacking football.

I’m sure John Morris could do better.
