Kalyn Ponga discussion

Ponga is a great player. He isn't our problem.

Who cares if he takes drugs. Most people in their 20s do.

He plays well for QLD because they are a functional football team. The Knights are not functioning properly in most / any areas.

Maybe West's are successful mostly due to the wide moat provided by pokies, not due to business management excellence. In any case they have provided cash but don't seem to have done much to improve management of the Knights.... Ie the ******** with Klem and the pathways guy from Penrith that walked citing "culture diff"..in that case him walking without a 10k payment to not disparage is highly unusual these days. These are just some examples.


Anyway in summary, I don't think it is the problem. Need more effective management and coaching.

How many 100s of millions of dollars is Wests worth but that wasn't good management .... your kidding right...
Also who cares if he takes drugs he is paid and contracted NOT TO and its illegal and he is the captain , Great way to lead the team hey . Ive had enough of him sack him and go all out for Munster .

I reckon IF he is found guilty gives us a reason to sack him and go all out after Munster .
My problem is not so much that they were lining up IF infact that's what they were doing as innocent until proven guilty must always be the go , although its a bad look for him and the club even just two guys coming out of one cubicle .
Its more that he is not playing like a million dollar player where as Munster is , i was hoping he would be the next Slater or Lockyer but he's not playing as good as when he first got here.
The trouble is If he goes somewhere else he will probably play like a champion .

My additional fear is that teams, especially the roosters, over the past couple of years seem to know that one minor (accidental?) head impact early in a game takes KP out for the remainder of that game. The opposition subsequently get a penalty against them, poor things, whereby we lose our best attacking player. The ensuing fullback substitution and bench rotation chaos caused also has a significantly detrimental impact on our side for the remainder of our game.
Imagine if this cycle repeated for teddy or tommy?! Would their respective teams be doing so well, well maybe manly's a poor example right now but I'm sure you're picking up what I'm putting down.
This may reek of conspiracy theories but check the last few (esp. roosters) games that kp's been HIA'd before you write this one off. True or untrue, KP is an easy target after all, especially with his famous step just as he hits the line.
Again, just my opinion...

Yeah i agree with pretty much all of that and if KP played for us like he did SOO i would never let him go and i wish he was and would play like that for us .

Yeah my point is a company can be in a fortunate position ( ie have a pokies licence) and be successful despite average management.

West's has displayed ineffective management of the Knights

So did they click there fingers and all of a sudden they were worth hundreds of millions or did they build it up with good management .
