Jackson Hastings discussion

The annoying thing is we've been hearing the same every time we go through one of these cycles of the wheels falling off. Players overpaid, bad contracts, hamstrung salary cap. Someone new then supposedly comes into the organization to fix all this and clean the slate moving forward. Then a few years later it's the same story!

It’s a complete circus when you look at the facts

Why don't they simply buy a premiership winning calibre half! It's so obvious.

We've gone and spent rep money on at least one of every position in the 13, except halfback, so yes maybe that is a part of our problem. It's also true that the last time we bought a marquee half we got what we paid for.

Pearce walked out on us just before the 2022 Preseason. We signed Hastings, who was probably the best 7 that’s changed clubs in that time period?

Pearce had lost his legs before he decided to leave the club. He was too old unfortunately. But the season he joined us he took us from equal favourites for the spoon to beating Manly by golden point in the round 1 and taking down the Chooks at home. We launched us toward the position we've been I'm since, stagnant.
