The thing is though, you see this stuff happen routinely in RL, player gets up and shoves the defender due to whatever they are disgruntled about, rarely if ever ends up in a sin bin.

This was a nothing incident and sure the game wa getting a bit fiesty, so call the captains out, give them the ole "you know what happens" next and send them on their way! That is how this should have been handled.

Instead, the ref gets all excited and sin bins Hastings, one of the weakest sin binnings I've ever seen, then appears to realise his error, so sin bins the other bloke as well to even it up.

Yet, deliberately trip a bloke and penalty play one!

And they wonder why people whinge about the refs!
 
I love the fact that Hasler blew up about us being offside all second half. It showed again that we are getting much better at adjusting to how a match is being reffed. I've been annoyed in the past that the likes of Melbourne and the roosters have been all over us and we either don't adjust or get penalised as soon as we do because we have been so amateur in our attempt to do what the other team is doing.

Yeah I've said this a few times. We were being far too nice early in the year, and were getting absolutely hosed with the ruck. We seem to have rectified that very well, kudos to the coaching staff for turning it around so quickly.
 
AOB had long said in previous years he wants us to play clean, fast and disciplined, but the Raiders and Roosters games this year had to be the last straw. The reward for cheating is just incomparably bigger.

You just have to push every advantage, or get left behind!

You just have to do it smartly.
 
But I guarantee if we push the boundaries we get smashed by the refs....other teams are allowed.

Nothing you can do about it, refs just hammer certain teams and let others do what they want.

aha or is it that Tigers club is shambles.
Source could tell me the young’s teenagers being treated like seniors and the senior players being treated like kids. Hense why all the older players are jumping ship.

Id take Bateman any day just because he not afraid of sticking up for whats right. Im afraid doing that in this day in age has you walking out the door…
 
If we let Hastings go, pay some, will ease our Cap, then we have Cogger as well as other options within the club and some promising younger ones coming through our juniors.
I know most if not all have a severe dislike for Cogger and he was not a good buy but is he worse than Hastings is now.
Is Coggers problems the same as Hastings,….AOB……
I’m not saying he is our answer, far from it but if Hastings is willing to go then let him, problem part solved and until we can find a suitable 7 let Cogger or someone else within run the show.
We are still an outside chance (long shot) at moment and that will likely change in a few weeks not only depending on our results but others so the last four or so this season and the off-season we can trial a few options and find our best one until that super 7 appears.
