    Wiki is not a source.

Billy is right, technically the decade starts in 12 months' time.

BUT, culturally, we refer to the '80s, '90s, naughties etc.

    It's ok, people.

If you wish to celebrate the start of the new decade now, go ahead. If you'd prefer to wait 12 months, that's ok too.

Peace and love my friends, peace and love.

As the girl on the taco ad says, we can do both.
I'm sure we'll get more teams of the decade next year.

Never mind when the decade starts or ends but by god that’s a horrendous looking side over the course of a 10 year period. No wonder the Knights have struggled to be relevant lately.

I agree, that's horrendous as the best we have served up. The best side results wise was the 2013 prelim team (still only finished the regular season 7th). The good news is there are very few of that side that I would swap with someone in the current squad. If we can get the current squad to play to their potential, good things await.

Exactly. The start of 2010 until the end of 2019 is 10 years.

Celebrating the end of the millenium at the end of 2000 is moronic.

Tbh, I started last week not even considering that it was the end of the decade, now I'm kinda convinced that it is.

Not only pedantic but also recalcitrant. Two for the price of one!

Willie Mason was 10 years past his best and only a 30 or 40 minute bench prop when he was with us.
If he'd spent his whole career with us he'd be our best ever prop, but he was barely better than James Gavet in his semi retirement for us.

Zeb Taia played 47 games for us between 2010-12. They weren't his best years because of his neck injury, but I'd still have him over the half-hearted efforts we saw from Beau Scott.

I remember him teaching me how important discipline can be in a match. We were playing the Sharks at home in a game we really needed to win from memory. I'd say it was 2013 and we were around the edge of the 8? From memory, we led 10-0 about 15 minutes in and were on top. Willie tried an offload around the back of a defender on about half way, the ball went to ground and the Sharks recovered it. The next time we touched the ball, we were down 18-10, and it was about the 32nd minute. We never recovered.

The other memory I have of that game was Luke Lewis getting the ball on his right edge for a hit up about 10 short of half way. He made an angled run back in behind the play the ball and played the ball so fast it made a break on the next play inevitable. As the Sharks ran away for the try, I remember just staring at Lewis and thinking I'd just seen an elite player make an elite play.
