Hooking options

I like that combo Junior of Roberts & Clydsdale however the real key will be how well Dobson goes and if both Roberts & Clydsdale are up to it physically.

With Hilder sticking around I think he and of course Waddell will still be preferred.

Yeah hopefully Dobson is the halfback that the team and Mullen really needs so alot will depend on that, Roberts still could be but I'd be happy to see Dobson be given a shot. Agreed with the physicality of Roberts and Clydsdale since they're both pretty small guys, just trying to think of an alternative to Waddell starting lol even though it's sadly inevitable.

If it ends up being

9. Hilder
14. Clydsdale or the other way around I think I could handle that as long as Kurt's not out for too long. He'll have over 6 months to recover from whatever injury he has, hopefully he'll be right for next year.

Redman is a tough little guy who is rapidly improving at hooker this year.
He is a chunky 92kg and spent last year playing lock in NYC because Clydsdale is an 80 minute hooker.
Just a few years ago he was the starting hooker for Australian schoolboys and pretty much seen as the best 18 year old hooker in the country. That was based on his ability to defend in the middle for 80 minutes at that level and top tackle counts.
He hasn't been that good at dummy half up till this year, but now you would have to say he is a very good and rapidly improving dummy half with the input of Bedsy and playing under Stone, and he has always been a quality defender with a big motor.
If we didn't have Clydsdale we would be pretty excited about Redman I think.
He is behind a few others at the moment, but after his third off season with the firstgrade squad in which Bedsy will be concentrating on coaching the young hookers, I can see Redman being in the mix. He does very well in NSW cup now, not far behind Adams who is a very good and experienced player.

Well, here we go, my first opinion post. Now, bare in mind, it's a rare treat for me to watch the junior grades play, so I don't know how they go. Although I didn't think Adams did anything wrong when he got a shot.
I love to see juniors come through, but Bennett doesn't seem to like our breeding system. If it came to a young outsider, I really like the look of Matt Keating, he'd go good with the right boys around him, a lot better than Travis Waddell, that's for sure... Although with Bennett's history, he'll probably talk Fien into another season or 2

And what planet is you movin' to - Venus or Mars?

listo-- to many space cakes....:)

Lol, we'll that'll teach me for putting my opinion in where it's not wanted
Wasn't on drugs mate, as said I don't know our junior system like you guys. Just saying who I thought would be an option if they went looking elsewhere, due to the fact that I'm far from being a Travis Waddell fan.
There's no superstar hookers on the market, so I figured on getting someone cheap with experience that can be moulded... Doesn't matter what I think anyway, I'm not the coach
