Greg Marzhew discussion

I refuse to believe this is accurate. I was told on this site he was off to Perth. Why would I believe this slander?

I think he's in career best form at age 29.
He looks fitter, faster and is even keen to pass now he has Sharpe yelling at him.
 
Length is a worry hope the dollars are okay, but scoring 12 tries with the way we’re playing hell I’m not gonna argue with it much considering he loves it here
 
Awesome news and im glad to have him here! Hopefully by the end of those 3 years he will have learnt not to tackle players in the air and how to catch a ball in the air on our tryline 😅
 
It seemed like the Cowboys were the team after him as a probable replacement for Taulagi, makes sense to turn it down for the extra year on less. No point relocating short term
 
Marzhew surely in line for a wing spot in Dally M team of the year? Jenkins deserves one spot, but who else has played better than Marzhew this season? I would only consider Isaako or Cobbo, but i thought Cobbo was geniunely awful for the first month of the season.

I think Greg is in career best form.
Marzhew and Manuleleua are the two guys I think have most flourished under the change in training style from AOB's science based fitness work to Holbrook's footy based skills work.
Both of them have improved their fitness and lost weight and improved their speed and agility under Holbrook.
Most of the squad have got fitter with the more "fun" style of training, but I'd say Greg and Frank are the two who have really thrived.
 
Shout out to Marzhew, having an absolutely brilliant season ... the try where he ran 65 metres and bowled past Tuaupiki like he wasn't there was a beaut ... speed, power. And his previous try from 55 metres out where he kicked ... yes, it was a lucky bounce, but plenty of skill in that, too.

Has added elite finishing and speed to his existing meterage and power. Maybe not even controversial to say he's been our best winger this year?

Really happy for him.

Only criticism is defusing bombs. He needs help from the guys around him. Good teams will exploit it, especially after today

Twice today they let the Warriors catch the ball. Fair enough, but you need to be able to then tackle him and wrap the ball up

Generally the help has been there this year. Maybe being one man short affected their structures too much

But I have to agree, he has been great in all other aspects of his game
