It will. Kurt will start at Fullback. Only when Morris comes on is when they will rotate. So Morris > Centres, Mongahan > Wing, Hayne > Fullback.

Then Gidley will be Hooker during that period.

I said Gidley into bench won't happen.

And plus, what's the point of Gidley at hooker? We have a 80 minute hooker in Farah. One of the reason Wing had such an impact was because of his fresh legs. Gidley moving to hooker has no point IMO.
 
I dont think AK was saying that Gids was going to be moved onto the bench :think:

Anyhow, IMO they should have gone with someone who didnt play last weekend. But then, i dont know how it would be :razz:

I think that the replacement should've been Ben Hornby. He's been playing really good footy and he can play many different positions.

It may not be because of Farah coming off, but maybe because of Wallace! By the sounds of this, they are putting way too much pressure on the Wallace!

Lucky to retain his spot after a quiet showing in Melbourne, Wallace will definitely start the game and be given a chance to redeem himself.

But given Queensland are just 80 minutes away from asserting unprecedented dominance at this level, coach Craig Bellamy is prepared to act to save the series.

I highly doubt it will happen though, but talk about putting pressure on a player!!
 
Hmm, very interesting plan! haha.

There's nothing wrong with giving Farah a spell, though, if they go with Gidley moving to hooker, as I think they will.

Playing 80 minutes at hooker at origin level is a lot different from doing it at NRL level.
 
Stupid plan. Why bother picking Wallace if your not confident he is the guy to win the game.

They should have gone with Kimmorely. The pressure is immense on Wallace, and if theres so much pressure on a guy who has played only 3 Origin games, why not pick someone more experienced to guide the team around the park?

We'll just have to see what happens tommorow night.
 
I hope Gidley has a blinder to prove his critics wrong. I gotta admit, i have been criticizing him a fair bit. Hopefully make a big play or score a try.

NSW Aussie Blues captain Kurt Gidley says leading his side out at ANZ Stadium will be one of the highlights of his career, but an extra 3,000 fans would make it a night never to forget.

More than 78,000 tickets have been sold for Game 2 of the Harvey Norman State of Origin series as Blues fans rally behind their side ahead of their must-win clash against Queensland.

For Gidley, his first match as NSW captain in front of a capacity home crowd will be one to savour.

"It was a proud moment to lead the boys out in Melbourne but to do it front of a full-house of Blues fans will be very special," Gidley said today.

"The atmosphere will be amazing and will bring out the best in our team.

"It's our only match in Sydney this year and we’re confident we can get the result we want and that our fans want and go to Brisbane to try and win the series."

The NSW Aussie Blues will have their final training session late this afternoon at ANZ Stadium.

IMO Kimmorley doesn't perform "GREAT" in tests/rep matches. IIRC the only one he played good in was in England when he had a blinder. Apart from that he is quite and doesn't play as good. He plays alot better for club then Tests/Reps.

He's had a number of great test performances ... without his dummy and run in the final two minutes, Australia would have lost the 1999 tri-nations!

And he was halfback in 2000 when NSW won 3-0.
 
If anyone hasn't heard, Queensland are in disarray (well, hopefully) with illness running through the team. Mwahahaha!!!

Maroons hit by stomach bug

SEVERAL Queensland State of Origin players, including captain Darren Lockyer, have been hit by a stomach virus only hours from tonight's match.

The affected players have been laid low by diarrhoea and vomiting and have been isolated from team-mates.

Team officials have refused to say how many of the squad has been affected but it is believed at least four players – Lockyer, Michael Crocker, Nate Myles and Dallas Johnson – have been treated and more players have consulted team doctor Roy Saunders.

The Maroons have not called back-up players into their Parramatta camp but are monitoring the stricken players carefully. However Queensland's 18th man Neville Costigan has been in camp with the Maroons all week and the hard-hitting Dragons forward can slot into the side if required.

"It is an evolving situation," Dr Saunders said. "We're not ruling players out at this stage but we have to watch them carefully."

Myles was the first player to become ill and he was up and about this morning. "There's a big difference between being up and about and playing an Origin match," Dr Saunders said.

"We're hopeful they will all play but that's all we can be – hopeful."
The real concern is that the players will be dehydrated before tonight's game at ANZ Stadium against NSW starting at 8pm AEST.

Queensland leads the three-match series 1-0 and a win at ANZ Stadium tonight would give them an unprecedented four series wins in a row.

Wallace has been rubbish. Barret hasn't been bad, but hardly getting involved.
 
Wallace has got to go.

Hayne looks as though hes the one trying to hardest out there.

Sh*t passes, a very sloppy game. QLD's trys were easy. They have to take advantage of Inglis being off the field.
