A close game will always throw up moments that can have a big affect. Two things that stick out to me. The obvious one is Sandon's awesome sideline conversion (from his wrong side) of the Young try that ultimately got us home. Also, I thought it was telling that the wahs weren't able to make their tactical change of Healey for Egan late in the game due to the Tuaupiki head knock. He may have been dangerous late on.

Did the ref that reffed the Wahs v Phins game get the axe? Wahs benefited from 3 "blockers" on contests in that game that weren't called. They even came out after the game saying they should have been penalties to Phins....NRL has conceded that Klein should have penalised Friz! Wow.

Brandy was always going to be upset regardless of who won. He hates the Warriors and holds a Gordie Tallis like grudge despite playing for them.
I’ve had to stop reading articles now, there’s nothing about how an underrated Knights team dug deep and got the win anymore. Just negative press about how the Warriors were robbed, the ref cheated and we may as well have had 14 on the field.
Any fondness I’ve had for the Warriors is gone now, they can **** themselves. Probably my new most despised team.

Frizz sold the escort well, like every nrl player tries to do. Every defensive system in the nrl uses escorts as part of their aerial defense. should of been a penalty but wasnt - a story as old as time itself. We have endured enough howlers go against us over the years and i dont care one bit that a poor call saved us.
Kent says Klein did a good job. Says Friz's call was possibly wrong, but suggests that it could also be argued that Leka took a dive...even suggests that gamesmanship is nothing new and players may have been coached to dive after the NRL sent out a directive on blockers through the week.
Points out too that the Wahs have been the beneficiary of a number of favourable blocker calls in recent weeks. Also mentions the NRL sent a please explain over Fish getting head knocks at the 26-minute mark a couple of weeks in a row (ie. when props often get replaced).

Watched the first 20 minutes of 360 and just wanted to clarify if we won yesterday? Ashley Klein and the Warriors were there I think. Not sure who they played though?
Do you think if a couple of 50/50 calls went Penrith’s way (as they regularly do funnily enough) they’d dedicate the entire first segment to it?
I loved every minute of it though to be honest. The butthurt from the NRL media about us beating 2 of their favourites over the last 2 weeks is delicious. Making it 3 out of 3 this weekend would be orgasmic.
What’s annoying though is how they all think everyone in Newcastle are simple and poor who’s only happiness can come from our team winning. When they say ‘working class’ the condescension is off the charts.
