O'Brien says we are "light years" ahead of where we were last year coming into the first final. He says we have more gas in the tank, are in better shape, and our effort areas and support play are much better.
Hopefully all this "talk" replicates on the field.

To me it sounds like parra are coming in with a similar game plan to against Melbourne and try and bash us in the middle if that's they way they go I think that's good for us. I think our main strength is our middle and our pack is arguably better than Melbourne's. I hope they try and win it in the forwards because I think we can out grind them I am still a little bit concerned with the fitness of klem and d-saf.

Sheesh so if we beat the Eels we now face the Panthers then the Storm ... imagine if we won all those and then lost the GF! 😂

A scary proposition. If we are good enough to get past the Eels though, it will be fun to see us on the biggest stage. Doesn't get much bigger than Penrith.

Bit of an item on ABC country news where they interviewed a guy who claimed to be a junior coach in the Rockhampton area and he claimed Kurt Mann as a local product who would have played a lot of his junior footy on Browne Park Ground - tomorrow's venue.
He seemed pretty light on detail.
Mann is from Winton, a few hundred Klms from Rocky, and he did his highshcool at a League school on the Goldcoast, but he might have spent time at a boarding school in Rocky in his early years I suppose.
He went to St Brendans in Yeppoon (practically rocky) in his senior years. Played for them in the confraternity cup where he was picked up by the knights along with Maipele Morseau

Pearce played his first really good game of the year V Titans.
In Tooheys news yesterday he went through Pearce's record and pointed out how influential he has been over his career.

I thought Ponga had a real coming of age game in SOO 3, where his efforts led to a win over the best players in the game.

Talking of SOO, a fired up Dan Saifiti has led NSW to famous victories in a few games now.

Frizell has played at the highest level and been a major contributor to some mighty wins for NSW and Australia.

Big game today. Those are 4 guys who are proven big game performers at the highest possible level.

I also feel that Jake Saifiti, David Klemmer and Jayden Brailey are guys who are ready for a big game when it counts.

Pearce having his best game of the season is probably the key component to us doing well today, but we have the big game performers to get this done if we show up today.

Really our issues come from the spine not having a lot of time together and the 9 coming off an ACL injury resulting in the attack being disjointed...

Our biggest issue without any disrespect is our outside backs, inexperience and Kurt Mann's brain farts and terrible hands....

Fixing those issues along with some defensive thoigs out wide is very easy, we have not recruited a lot of players for 2022, I'm guessing if Lee recovers and we use Crossland/Sasagi as the 14.

We just need a backrower or a 13 that has footwork and an offload in him.

I just hope its a close game like last night not a repeat on Friday night.

Your up early today Billy.

Game day, I'm pumped. I think we will play our best game of the year. Will it be enough to get the job done? We will find out in 8 hours.

I have 2 worries. Our attack not putting any scoreboard pressure on them and KPs positional play defensively. Ferguson’s side is the key. Cliff needs to pepper him also.

We will match them in the middle and I believe we are the fitter team. Slot of pressure on Moses today, I think they will be feeling more pressure than us.

Parramatta always feel pressure in play off games. It will be 35 years since they have won a premiership, if they do not win this year.

He seems to play his best games against the Eels aswell...

This game comes down to one thing, our attack sparking.

If it doesn't and we fail to ice our chances then we are done for. No amount of good defence or attitude is going to win us the game if we can't get over the line and put them away. Parra are too good attacking wise to try to bring in to a low scoring slugfest.

Parra have scored 23 points per game, we only scored more than 23 points 6 times out of 24 rounds, all against teams outside the 8.

Against top 8 teams we scored: 85 points (9 games) for an average of 9.4 points per game.

Parra against top 8 sides, scored 201 (12 games) points for an average of 16.75 points per game.

Compare the two Mitchells, Pearce has a history of delivering in the big moments, Mose has a history of going missing. The deeper we can take this contest, the more it plays in to our hands.
