Giving us zero chance ... we looked better against the Broncos when Ponga and Pearce left the field, which does not bode well for a fully functioning potent attacking performance, at all.

I honestly don't think they were giving 100% especially as it was a nothing game.

Expect us to be in the fight fir the first 20 then get torn apart on the edges and by the refs.

They let Ennis coach NSW under 18s for 1 game.
NSW wins most under 18s games, but Ennis managed to lose with his silly game plan of just giving the ball to Bradman Best every chance they got. Queensland double teamed Bradman and he ended up exhausted from trying to crash his way over the line every time we got into an attacking position.
his team had 1 trick, and Queensland knew about it and had planned for it before a ball was kicked.

I can't say Ennis annoys me at all, he's usually on the money, and he is with us. Remember he's an ex-Knight so would like to see us succeed. But you can't argue with what we display on the field, it hasn't been up to scratch this season ... to challenge in the finals, at least.

The way I see this game going, we come out and match it with them for 10 minutes but have conceded an early try by then.

We keep turning up and keep trying, but so do they, they ice their chances whilst we can't seem to convert ours. Half time is something like 16-4. 2nd half we continue trying but just can't get there and lose 32-10.

Parra got that good win over a half strength Melbourne side a few weeks ago, but frankly, Melbourne went to the well one too many times and were due to lose one of those games, and if they had got a bit of luck they would still have won.

Apart from that, their only win in the last two months was against the Cowboys. They have had the draw from hell though - all the top teams have lined up to give them a kicking.

Half strength? I think not.

Honestly thought the lack of a calm, experienced head to manage them back into the game finally bit Melbourne on the butt in that Parra game. Less six agains are being called and consequently it’s gotten a little harder for the Storm to just blitz everyone. Yeah Parra played great but I’ve now actually got a funny feeling Melbourne’s chances of going back to back are in a bit or trouble…

I thought Melbourne looked like they could kick into gear and win that game at any time, but they just had one of those games where the bounce of the ball and 50/50 calls went against them. It happens to everyone eventually.
We won that game against Manly earlier this year where Manly were clearly the better side, and just couldn't take a trick, luck wise. We also lost 2 or 3 this year where I thought we were the better side, just couldn't get a break.

Point being, apart from that anomaly, Parra have been pretty ordinary for 2 months.

Parra have been ordinary the past 2 months and I was hoping we got them 1st week. But they found form again against Melbourne, they were the better side in that game. Then rested players against Penrith who didn't rest and still looked up for it, just no firepower.

Just have to hope that week off and resting players sets them back and we turn up for our best game of the year with attack.

I thought bellamy was just having a bit of fun against parra rotating his players in different positions…good time to experiment, don’t think he would of been to concernd with the loss to parra givin the media hype and Jack Gibson record....like uncle Benny respect to past era.

This corresponding game last season against the Bunnies, we were up 10-0 after 12 minutes and only down 14-20 at half time...but we ended up getting rolled 46-20.

This is the sort of Game Dan, Ponga, Pearce, etc. need to bring a State of Origin siege mentality to this team in defence. Parra average just over 22.5 points a game this season in attack...our biggest job is to reduce that by 6-8 points.

In defence they average letting in just over 18 points a game...if we do the job in defence and score the average points they let in a game in attack, we should finish in front (sounds easy, right:) )

To achieve this and have any chance of winning we need to focus on:

* coming out strong and out enthusing them for at least the first 20 minutes
* having consistent line speed for most of the 80 minutes
* keeping our errors to a season low, and
* maintaining a completion rate upwards of 90%.

If we are disciplined, play out the full 80 minutes and believe we deserve to be there we have a chance.

There’s been a lot of stuff in the media describing us as the team which doesn’t really deserve to be there… as opposed to the team which went 10-14 this year. The team we beat a couple of weeks ago.

If Adzy is fair dinkum he prints all this **** up and pins it to the board in our team room. These ****ers think we don’t deserve to be there, just making up the numbers. Let’s shove it right up them.
