Good insight boys. Yeah can't keep em all. I think meany and up playing allot on the wing also for the dogs. It would be nice to have him now. Oh well.

I think when he went to the Titans he'd missed most of the previous season and was still in rehab for his knee and no one knew if he had lost his speed and step, so I don't think we would have offered him much to stay, if it had come down to that, because the story at the time was that he didn't even hold discussions with us - just got an offer from the Titans and went.

I wish them well, but it's hard to see a pathway to firstgrade for either of them at the Panthers.
 
If panfs were after Adam Keighran as a Sean o Sullivan replacement signing cogger might open the doors for us to get him, he’d be good backline depth and a pretty bloody good kicker especially if we do send Clifford overseas.
 
Cowboys throwing him a bone as a sweetener to get the talented younger brother. It worked as Jamal signed a 3 year contract and he is a beast in the junior grades.

It's probably just bad management of the website, but I see they haven't removed Jaron's profile from the firstgrade list, but they have removed guys who are still here like Keeley, Talty and Rugless (even though Rugless is supposed to be there because he is now on a development contract).
 
I notice ex-knight Hanan Laban has some fancy management role at the Dolphins. Official title -

Head of People and Governance at Dolphins NRL​


For those that don't remember Hanan he was the son of a guy named Ken Laban who was a Wellington businessman who tried for a decade or more to get a Wellington team into the NRL. He sent over our first Kiwi juniors, including Tim Natusch and his son Hanan. Hanan played in one of our most impressive forward packs in Flegg in 2006 alongside Kade Snowden, Cory Patterson, Aku, Dureau, Walsh etc, and Hanan was as good as any of them. He completed a degree in some business related subject at Newcastle Uni while playing Flegg.
I don't know what he's been doing since, but I'm sure it's business and Rugby League related.

Ken Laban is definitely very well known in Wellington ... ex-local league player, rugby union and league commentator, and currently a Wellington Regional Councillor.
 
Has anyone else noticed that big Fijian prop we had in reserve grade 7 or 8 years ago is in the latest McDonalds ad - going silly over someone giving him a 30c icecream with a flake in it.
He is probably so happy to get that because that's what the Knights used to pay him.

Saulo has been added to top 30 for Canberra and the article I read said Levi was favourite to get their last spot. I don't know why they'd want Starling. Levi and Woolford.

edit - Eloni Vunakece is the fijian prop. He's been on a few reality TV shows too.
