Ex-Knights Watch

Guess who wants to return to the NRL?

I'm reading Former Knights captain reveals desire to return to the NRL via the The Herald app
https://www.newcastleherald.com.au/story/8080741/

He said during his time at the Knights, he had no accountability for his performances. That is a sad indictment on the state of club at the time.

And I’m not suggesting we take him back.
And it seems like that’s still the case. It would have been an eye opener for him playing for a successful club, even if it is in Superleague.

I would take him back he would be better then Jones or Fitz just his last couple of years weren't good because of his head knocks but looks like that's sorted that out now always but with kpp coming not sure if there would be a spot for him

Bench spot would suit him well I think. Good impact off the bench.

Sione wouldn't get an offer from anyone that adds up to half what he's getting in ESL.
If his family wants to come home he might take a fringe deal and be happy with the millions he's made.

Well, maybe that says it all.
There are lots of responses similar to this from Ex-Knights players.
As Adam Elliot said on the weekend, Newcastle is a great place to live.
It seems even more so if you also happen to play with the Knights

Interesting to see Danny Levi starting the final trial for the Raiders ... Starling on the extended bench, Woolford not in the side at all.

Kurt Donahugh goes pretty good from hooker.
What position did he play here?

Beau Fermor is outstanding. Can't believe we kept Jones and let him go.
He played juniors in the halves for Central. Played 1st grade at Central as a centre because Luke Walsh & his brother were in the halves. Played five eight in Flegg last year when he came back from a bad knee injury.

Not a good look for Milford.
Donohue must have shown something while with us, potential? Maybe we are doing the right thing and just not seeing it or making the same mistakes.

Donoughoe must have taken to firstgrade training like a duck to water.
They seem to have him down as a hooker. I'm sure he has the passing game and vision to pull that off, but he was a bit of a liability in defence at Flegg level, and that wasn't defending in the middle.
He must have improved his strength a lot if they think he can pull off defending in the middle, even for short minutes.
Good luck to him though. He has obviously worked his arse off since this time last year.
