Cooper Vuna

You mean the 15 minutes he played before getting hurt?

But whos counting yaknow?? My whole point is Vuna is playing better then McManus and if McManus wants back in the side he will have to prove it because Vunas in great form at the moment.

McManus hasnt played in a lonnnng time. He may not be the man he was when he returns. I dont mean to sound pesamistic but you see it a lot with stars who spend too long a stretch on the sideline.

milton thaiday for example, was an electrifying player until he got injured..after that was shocking

Sign him for sure even if we play him in the back row if we ever have an abundance of wingers fit and well all at the same time. He would then be compared to Bob McCarthy etc!

yeah he is big enough to maybe slot into the backrow id like to give him a run there one day to see how he goes

that being said though id miss his kick returns soo much

thats what gives him the edge over mcmanus in my opinion

but yeah maybe wen doogs retires put mcmanus in the centers

Yeah Vuna is a priority. How come the Knights are resigning nevilles and not looking at our best off-contract players. Everything the Knights board seems to do is against what everyone else wants.

Well said. We need to make signing Vuna a priority. The longer we wait, the better he plays, the more we have to pay to keep him whether there is interest from over seas clubs or not. Seriously who was going to buy Simmo or Rogers? Some how we were super quick to sign them

Foxsports ran started a discussion, and the guy posted the question to the public: are they the best wing combo in the comp?

I had a tear of happiness.

And if you think about it, there aren't too many other clubs with TWO outstanding wingers. Perrett and Kenny Dowall if they're fired up but they're form is representative of the rooster's. Fetuli and Meritt are explosive but pretty inconsistent.

Morris & Nightingale are more finishers. Blokes like Aku & Coops that run hard and straight are hard to find.

Tuiaki, Vatuvei are the only real others .. you're right pieguyfly, Vuna & Uate can create out of nothing.

I hope last weeks game proves to them that and that they both continue to shine for us.

To think that at the start of this season everyone was calling for Vuna's head!!! You bunch of fools! Fools, I say!!!

I think when Taniela Tuiaki comes back for the Tigers, he and Lote Tuquiri will really be the only pair of wingers that would give ours a run. Taniela is a gun, a machine. Lets face it hes a machine gun.

PLEASE, I think it was against the Tigers when we missed out on the top 8 two years ago, and we beat them in the last minute with a penalty goal to keep the Tigers out of the top 8 as well. Anyway, I remember Vuna ran around the edge, their winger was back, he kicked over him, ran out, back in, and scored. Ever since then I have loved him like a child. I have never doubted Vuna.

I also have been a huge fan of our back line in general, with my only concern Dureau, but this isn't a Rogers vs Dureau topic! Vuna is more skilled than Aku, but Aku is like a bullet. Let us not forget Sau, a nugget of a man.

As for Morris and Nightingale, I love Morris and his speed, especially from a still start. Nightingale is nothing special, just another generic winger. I was going to say the Tigers combo as well, but Tuquiri doesn't seem to have adjusted properly yet, he's had glimpses of his best though. Taniela is a freak of nature, nobody that big should be a winger!

That was such a sensational try ... I have to say it was even better than Uate's on the weekend. Such individual skill!!!

Taniela is a monster and his offensive game shows that but his defensive game similar to Vatuvei is weak. They're both caught out and are prone to coming off their line. It doesn't take much to trick these two and I'm sure a great coach would realise this. Offensively him and the beast are unstoppable, but limit their ball and they're both vunerable.

I think that win saved us from wooden spoon.

I loved one of his tries against Cowboys in 08 I think, Cowboys had a drop out Vuna caught it about 30 odd metres out and ran full steam ahead ran over the top of a couple guys and scored under the posts.

Yeah i remember that and it saved us from the spoon :) Vunas a class player hopefully we re-sign him soon, and i like how he is always positive never see him without the ball not smiling or clapping.

I was at that game and the crowd (including me) went absolutely nuts after that try. Ever since then, he's been my favourite player!

Actually we kept them out of the eight that Friday night, and avoided the wooden spoon passing it on to the Panthers who went down that Saturday in the last minute!

i hope that this is tonight's game finishes up!
