Confirmed: Knights sign Beau Scott for 4 years

I still don't know where I sit on announcements like this. We are 1 round into this season and already clubs and players are looking to next year. I can see how it suits the players to have their futures worked out but it is always going to upset the fans

I really hope the salary cap just get increased by a fair amount, coz our squad is looking pretty packed lately.
 
I just hope Edwards and O donnell get big extensions . What people have got to think is Hilder may retire at the end of 2013

If Salary cap goes up by $800,000 thats a fair about of money for extensions

Scott to me is a $250,000 - 300,000 player that would leave 5-600,000+ to play with
 
Dont want to start a name your 2012 team but maybe well see something like Houston and Scott in the second row, with Edwards dropped from the 17 and Bennet grooming Taia into an impact player and having him coming of the bench?

Great signing as well but will hate to see if its at someone elses expence, especially Taia.

Benefits of Scott is he is a great centre. Maybe that's where Bennett wants to play him?

HOW IRONIC is it that Tahu and Scott will now play in the same team now with all the racism drama.
 
Crappy signing, not needed, but if he was going to replace anyone, get rid of that joker Costigan, hasn't done a thing for us since signing 2 years ago. Taia's been injured, but get back to his old form and I'll take him over any other 2nd rower we have.

Very unexpected signing but i like it. Could very well mean one of the starting squad is demoted or left to find another club but i'm ok with that. Guess it depends on where he plays. If they bring him into the backrow, it'll probably mean Costigan to prop, goodbye Tui or goodbye Taia or Costigan (hopefully Costigan). Bennett would be silly to get rid of Houston or move him to prop.

On the otherhand if he comes into the centres, likely Wes demoted to reserves and either wes or Sau left to find another club. Be interesting to see, but with a happy wait with this year shaping up.

They really need to bring in a trade window though.
