Bradman Best discussion

He maybe smarter than he appears at first site lol
Clearly not book smart, but he’s always gotten wraps for his maturity. Which isn’t about intelligence per se.

Seems like he’s got good people around him and he’s mature enough to listen to them. House painting is the kind of business you don’t see a lot of athletes investing in because it’s boring. It’s not flashy.

But people need their houses painted…

Totally. Being diverse is great and trades always have a place in society. Smart move.

You can see by the way Best performs on the field that he isn’t stupid. To be able to preform well in the NRL and SOO, means that you are not stupid.

My Mrs always complains about players haircuts such as mullets. I keep saying to her, whatever they do with their hair is their business, I’m only interested in how they play.
We all come into the world with different strengths and weaknesses. We all make our own way in the world. I am very happy with the path my life has taken and I am very grateful for the path Bradman Best has taken, as his performances for the Knights gives me great pleasure.

That or sound advice from good professionals and / or family. When you have a brand and a following it’s smart to leverage it when everyone can benefit. Sure plenty of die hard fans wouldn’t mind a visit from Bradman debt collecting when the bills for their freshly painted deck is overdue. Lols.

If he’s taking advice from people who know their stuff, then that’s an intelligent move in itself.

I loved that little bit the club did, asking players what they would be doing if they weren't in the NRL, and with a perfectly straight face Bradman said he loved school and especially science, so he'd be working in rocket science if not for footy.
I actually had to think about that because of how straight he delivered it.
He actually used to say he hated school and left as soon as he was old enough and moved to Newcastle to start training fulltime and was too young to drive so had to get lifts from team mates.

There are many different pathways to success in this world. He's doing better than most people.
