Bradman Best discussion

So Club saying 3 matches. We have a bye, so 4 week injury I guess. If it’s 3 match’s he misses Titans, Eels, and Storm. Would be good to have him back for the Storm game.
Falls into that awkward timing just before another bye.

Do you play him vs Storm? Or give him another 2 weeks to get it right?

Surprised there’s been no mention on here that Bradman Best intends to stay and sign long term here. Tooheys News, Party up!
That’s the Best news ever…….🦗

In all seriousness this club has looked better than it has in many years. Tighten up the defence across the board and it’ll go a very long way. They’ll start winning the close games that they don’t.

Everyone was worried about Dylan Lucas despite being a super fan, and the whole Moses thing, fair. Who gets what of the pie etc…
People were questioning Ponga despite him never giving anyone any reason to, as well as Best (who you could also consider a super fan) both stated they love it here and Ponga and Lucas/Best etc didn’t even bother waiting till Nov 1 to test the market.

That’s a huge testament to the club.

Expect an announcement this week
Tooheys News mentioned it even though it was an afternoon edition if I’m not mistaken. Usually this forum is on the ball when it comes to those things that’s all lol. Not a knock but usually when I come here there’s already posts about it and someone’s mentioned it. Working life getting in the way I suppose

Roger Best played under 17s for Qld, but only played reserve grade for Manly and a handful of games for London Broncos, and he played second row.
He looks like Bradman, but that's all - although Bradman played his first season of juniors as a second row. I think it was Scott Dureau who noticed he was quick and moved him to the backs.

Jeez you'd like to think the club low balled him. If he's been offered a fair value and in the context of everyone else accepting the same, you'd hate to think he was playing games over 50-100k.

Seen it on clarkeys column so not sure how valid the source is but I hope something gets sorted soon. It’s night and day when he’s on the left edge compared to when he is not

He’s a great great player but overpaying outside backs is the biggest roster trap you can fall into. The Panthers and Storm have consistently been better than the Roosters this decade because they’ve been prepared to make the tough call not to match offers on players like Crichton & Addo-Carr and the Roosters insisted on trying to keep Manu, Suaalii and add Dom on top of that. Really gotta get that starting outside back allocation below $2 million and a competent club should be able to replace them internally.

It would suck if he left but honestly Lucas was the one for me. There won’t be a premiership without Dylan. I can see us winning without Bradman.

Braddy made a weird comment on a recent Luai Insta post which made me think the Chiefs are a real threat:

Bradmans Mrs wouldn't cop living in a gated community in the jungle for a few years. He's also got a business here which I'd imagine probably generates him a decent earn.

If he leaves Newy, it'd be one of the more inexplicable and disappointing things we've seen from a prized clubman and junior. The simplest explanation is that he feels the club low-balled him, I guess. But at what point does he admit to himself that he only plays half the regular season.

Disappointing from Bradman. It was good enough for everyone else. JSaf is at the peak of his powers at 29 and wasnt making 700k p.a. from about his teenage years onwards and yet, JSaf will make the sacrifice so willingly?
