Bradman Best discussion

No surprise Bradman went well in Origin, the blokes built for Origin.

Hopefully the first game of many.
 
That side of the field just chewed through the Queenslanders all night. I dare say having 5 tries, (almost 6) in his last 2 games will see out a very different level of beast to round out the season. Well done to the young bloke.
 
I seemed to miss most of the criticism of his selection ... the only thing I saw was Brandy's iconic "That's disrespectful!"

But I was pretty sure he'd have a decent game based on his performances this year, and he took it to the next level again on Wednesday. Great to see after a few frustrating years. Hopefully he starts game one next year and makes the spot his own.

It's hard to drop him after that performance.

Only problem is latrell plays left centre for nsw and fitler won't drop teddy and move latrell to fullback so who knows what will happen, will probably play him off the bench at hooker for 6.8 minutes

I reckon you're right, players like Tedesco cannot maintain their performance as they age. He needs to change the way he plays as he gets older, the body just wont allow him to do what he used to do.

Benji Marshal had a similar problem but overcome it.
 
Just read that Bradman is keen to hold off resigning until he tests the open market on November 1 with (you guessed it) Chooks ready to pounce with cash to burn. Knights won’t match anything that a bidding war would start.

How do we feel about that?

I understand any young man is within his right to earn the maximum dollars while young but it would be nice to have a bit of faith repaid once in a while.
 
Let's face it, Bradman has to make as much as he can from footy because stop and go man for the council doesn't pay much.

Roosters are playing like garbage, sitting below us on the ladder, and Best is already an Origin player. Robbo would need to do a pretty hard sell 😆

I think Best stays, however if he does go, so be it. He could keep having blinder seasons or could revert to being injured for weeks at a time. Who really knows.

I think he’d be out of his depth even doing that. Also they get paid surprisingly well.

While players will always get injured i feel like part of that was him being so young and still growing plus it appears now he is preparing better and taking better care of his body.
