Bradman Best discussion

So Bradman will be left center I assuming? He’s going to be outside Cody walker which could be really exciting to watch. And have Ado Carr on his wing.

Newcastle use him on running back inside a lot. Although the last few games him and Ponga have been combining well.

South’s / Cody do those sweeping backline movements. Usually Laterall chimes into those back line sweeps. Could Teddy do that? Not as sweet as passer as Latrell. If NSW can replicate that south’s left side sweep could be on for Brady and ado Carr.

he's a young kid and those players you mentioned all played in great teams.

Only difference is best plays for newcastle and Chricton plays for the top team
If best played for anyone else no-one would be questioning this selection

Maybe Chricton shouldn't be there

I think this part is definitely true! And to be fair, he wouldn't have been if Turbo and Mitchell were both fit.

Interesting to compare those stats though, I thought Crighton's would have been better just by dint of playing for a much better side.

Yeah heaps are saying staggs is twice the player best is. Stats dont tell you eveything but bradman is way head of staggs going of stats for the year.

I think staggs has gone backwards since he last played SOO and he is definitely overshadowed in that Broncos team this year.

Tago is the real gun in the centres in that team. It’s actually him who could be considered hard done by to miss out in favour of Bradman. Not Staggs. I don’t really get all the Staggs hype atm, still huge issues in his game and he hasn’t even had as many highlight reel moments this year.

no doubt the media has favorites, playing for the club of former FOX man and Broncos coach Kevvie helps a lot, as does playing for the current NRL golden team.

The Knights need to start spending on a full time savvy media liaison to lead the narrative.
 
Bradman has been great in defence this year.
As much as I like what Marzhew brings to the side, it's not defence.
He makes 1 tackle a game and only if someone runs into him by accident.
In a funny way, having Marzhew there has helped Bradman's defence. He used to spend a lot of time trying to work out if it was his tackle to make. Now, it's his tackle, always.

Maybe not yet but maybe this opportunity will create a new beast. If he has a good game he will most definitely be a better player.

It'll be good for him to hang with some elite players just too see how they do things differently to the blokes at the knights. Supposedly he is quite the professional this year himself so hopefully a good learning curve for him.
 
I don't get why Tedesco gets a final origin game but Frizzell doesn't

Cody Walker selection isnt looking at the future also. Weird selection for a dead rubber which is the perfect platform to blood up and coming stars.

Freddy reacts to media pressure as much as anything, I often wonder what Luai did to James Hooper, or is he just chasing the clicks.

Walker is a proven choker on the biggest stage. Can't recall him ever having a good SOO game. Having said that I hope he murders the Maroons.
 
Luai hasn’t been good in Origin & wouldn’t be within cooee of the side if he wasn’t a Nathan Cleary coat-tail rider. He’s incredibly mid and is only successful as a player because he’s at Penrith, rather than Penrith being successful because of him. A born beta, plays second fiddle even when his halves partner is Jack Cogger. Only mistake Freddy made there was ever picking him at all. That being said, it’s fun to watch him jump around stupidly and squander promising attacking play while listening to the Benny Hill theme, which is my preferred way to watch Origin, so I approve of his selection on that level.

Cody Walker has consistently made it pretty deep in the finals for a choker. I’m sure he’d like that grand final intercept pass back if he had his time over again, but they were only in the game to begin with because of him. The idea that he was a total flop in Origin has more to do with Freddy hooking him in a game where he wasn’t playing any worse than a bunch of his other halves I could name, than whether or not he actually played that badly. Surely you’d have to agree that the guy who left Damien Cook at left centre for 77 minutes, isn’t the best judge of who should and shouldn’t be taken off the field.

I have to agree with all of that well said. Basically Luai is a b*tch and Cody only sucks because Fittler sucks more 😂
