Ashes Tour 2025

Some extremely questionable calls going against Australia at the moment, I know they don’t want Australia to romp it in as it will kill the concept but can they make it less obvious

I highly doubt England can keep this up for 80 so we just need to do exactly what we did in the first game, get in the trenches and wait it out and strike.

Walter’s should be brining to attention that England are just rushing us when we have the ball, so take the hits and when they are committed to throw it wide and catch them out. Also can he tell one of our THREE 6’5+ guys to look for offloads.

I don’t rate Walter’s as a coach at all but we should see if he has switched tactics accordingly

Ps. Shiba literally useless that first half should have been Best there would have offered more strike to help the props

This has to be on the coaching

How are you ****ing up this badly with a spine of Walsh, Munster, Cleary and Grant

England had effort but the Aussies (Munster in particular) had that hit of class to make the difference.

Would be good to see Best out there for the 3rd game. I live in Leeds and work in the city centre. Wonder if I’ll see any the team mooching around town before the next game.

Cleary again showing that he is the final boss at NRL level but doesn’t seem to have it at rep level. Very strange.

In the Middle:
Tino - properly bullied the entire game.
Lindsay Collins - is a starting Kangaroos prop?!?!?!?
Carrigan - can't really be your main middle middle in a rep game as we've seen a few times at Origin level.
Cotter - Possibly the only middle genuine ticker in him, but is limited by his size and shouldn't be doing 53 minutes at prop in a Test.
Keaon - Gets through his work but not much more
Smith - Didn't really get much of a chance.
+ Grant had the stinker that he inevitably has every rep series.

Current Kangaroos pack is so painfully average by past standards - What's worse is that this England pack is almost certainly their worst for 20+ years, so the fact the above guys are struggling doesn't instill too much confidence looking past 2025.

The world cup will be very competitive.
The results from the pacific cup and this game show the 10 team world cup will have probably 6 sides who have a genuine chance and the other 4 won't disgrace themselves.

I hope they also fund an emerging nations cup for teams like USA, Canada, Lebanon, France, Cook Islands, Malta, Italy, Greece etc etc - but the 10 team format for the main cup will give us a genuine contest in every game for the first time ever.

Just got around to watching the game, if it wasn't for England not chancing their arm more and their halves not having a clue how to lead the team around, Australia would have lost this.
Had a good laugh at the commentary on the video reff 😄
I thought the reff did a good job, I couldn't imagine trying to reff offsides when there are no lines.
Dom Young looked strong, not a lot of try scoring opportunities for him but his carries were very good 👍
Please bring Moses and Best into the next game... Cleary is just making up numbers out there and Shibi is lucky to be there

Should be the most competitive one ever, in terms of amount of teams that can win it. Would be great for NZ if those Origin rules are relaxed and they can add Ponga too. But Australia, NZ, England, Tonga, Samoa and Fiji are all quality sides. I really feel like Fiji gets overlooked, they made the semis in 2008, 2013 and 2017, and went within an inch of beating NZ in the 2022 quarter. Their defeat of the Kiwis in the 2017 quarter seems to be forgotten compared to Tonga and Samoa’s successes.

PNG have their moments too, but I wouldn’t say they’re on the same level as the rest of those sides.
